Το Oppo K5 έρχεται με αρκετά καλό επίπεδο εξοπλισμού, και βασίζεται στο Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC σε συνδυασμό με 6GB και 128GB αποθηκευτικού χώρου ή 8GB RAM και 128GB ή 256GB αποθηκευτικού χώρου. Η μπαταρία της νέας συσκευής της Oppo διαθέτει χωρητικότητα 4000mAh και υποστηρίζει γρήγορη φόρτιση VOOC 3.0 (30W) που επιτρέπει την φόρτιση της μπαταρίας σε ποσοστό 67% μέσα σε μόλις μισή ώρα.

Η οθόνη του Oppo K5 είναι τεχνολογίας AMOLED με διαγώνιο 6,4 ιντσών και ανάλυση FullHD+ και διαθέτει μία μικρή, σε σχήμα σταγόνας, εγκοπή στην πάνω πλευρά της για τις ανάγκες της εμπρόσθιας κάμερας (32MP, f:/2.0). Η οθόνη «φιλοξενεί» και τον αισθητήρα δακτυλικών αποτυπωμάτων.

Η συσκευή διαθέτει τέσσερις κάμερες στο πίσω μέρος. Η κύρια κάμερα βασίζεται στον αισθητήρα Samsung GW1 (1/1.72”, υποστηρίζει 4-in-1 pixel binning) που βρίσκεται πίσω από σύστημα φακών f:/1.8 και η δεύτερη που βασίζεται σε αισθητήρα 8MP είναι υπερευρυγώνια (119⁰, f:/2.2). Η τρίτη κάμερα είναι ιδανική για μακροφωτογραφίσεις (macro) και βασίζεται σε αισθητήρα 2MP (f:/2.4) ενώ η τέταρτη, επίσης στα 2MP (f:/2.4), αναλαμβάνει χρέη αισθητήρα βάθους (για την λειτουργία πορτραίτου).   

Το Oppo K5 θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 17 Οκτωβρίου στην Κίνα σε Green, White και Blue, με τιμή CNY1899 (€240) για την έκδοση 6/ 128GB, CNY2099 (€267) για την έκδοση 8/128GB και CNY2499 (€320) για την έκδοση 8/256GB.
