xxdem Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Un-fucking-believable... Calling shell to call cmd to run l2.bin... Yes, really cool. Elfo, learn what a compiler does and then come back to post your arguments. ShellExecute is raw win32 function bro, no cmd involved whatsoever Edited January 12, 2017 by xxdem Quote
Mobius Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Bitch please what is this 2005? First program language people tend to learn because handlers? Beside beginners all-purpose symbolic instruction code *References* ShellExecute is raw win32 function bro, no cmd involved whatsoever If you want I can explain you why on Skype. ;D I am not suprised how the current education system has washed some peoples minds. You finished school during the past 5 years, right? You still think with your professors logic. FYI 2014 project https://github.com/mangosvb/serverZero AND BTW, why I need to make a program in a more complex way, since it only runs a shell command? More VB programs incoming... :troll: Quote
Elfo Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 AND BTW, why I need to make a program in a more complex way, since it only runs a shell command? Because you don't need the stupid .net framework installed. It just won't work everywhere plus apps like these are being destroying be windows defender and other antiviruses. Quote
xxdem Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) VB is shit, but he doesn't know that C# is equally shitty. They are just wrappers of the same .NET framework how much different can they be except their syntax? Edited January 12, 2017 by xxdem Quote

They are just wrappers of the same .NET framework how much different can they be except their syntax? They have completely different usage even though they compile to the same intermediate language. Performance is the same but C# can do way more. Now when it comes down to .NET Core (Which is what everyone .NET is doing now) C# is the only way you can code. Not even Microsoft gives a shit for .NET Framework anymore. Quote

Who uses OS prior to Windows 7? -edit- Even if they have, windows update would probably already installed .Net Edited January 12, 2017 by Mobius Quote

Yeah but back when I was accusing C# on .net you was defending it and calling me names, now that you got a new chewing gum (net core) you trash .net aswell. Get your shit straight mate, .NET core is no different than another hype. PS: Net CORE, wow this framework MUST be so hardcore You're just a funboy man Quote
∽Ave∽ Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Ok guys, I guess there is no need to argue which program lang is better. Even if shared files uses VB and need .NET, if someone what to use it, he will use it. Enyone can share his work here.If You want, I can move this conversation to Off-toipc Section, so You can argue about which lang is better. Other than that, please stop this pointless conversation.LOCKING FOR NOW to end this conversation. I will unlock it later on. Edited January 12, 2017 by aVVe Quote
xxdem Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Who uses OS prior to Windows 7? If it works on fresh winXP it works everywhere is the win dev moto Quote

LightFusion Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Already mentioned what is its purpose. -Avoid client modifications, in a proper maner. -Use latest untouched retail client to connect to your server. -Easy to use. Running l2.bin from shell is now - client protection, rly ? Not to mention about cmd netstat or processhacker, to get connection ip and write it in other l2.ini with different l2.bin, .exe ... P.S. Smartguard connects via dsetup hook, and ip he gets from dsetup.dat =) Edited January 12, 2017 by LightFusion Quote
Mobius Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Not a protection. It runs client so that it connects to your server without need of modifications. Quote
Finn Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 a shortcut with ip=127.0.0.1 parameter will do the same thing ^^ Quote
