Could be better.

Better? It's not even banner.. how it can be better.. it's a google image with a fade in fade out text.

Practise more mate.

 

 At first, the size it's too big, reduce it. Also, as AccessDenied said no work was done in the background, it's just a flat image from Google.

Try to "play" with effects , styles, borders, shadows, different fonts for the letters, etc.
