for me the idea about the topsite will kill the forum, a lot of forums tried this already and they failed hard, even the old topsites are about to die..

but about the idea of a server listing here it will be good, there are some applications for IPB which can do this work and mxc will get a tab called Top Servers for example or Recomended Servers so admins which they want to get advertised they can buy a spot there

I dont think ipb is good idea for top section, i was thinkin to integrate some other module for it, only problem here is in connecting user/s from maxcheaters to top maxcheaters user/s, so they have no need in registring in that section.

actually stalone made 150k last ruby with no epics sold, just dp;s means averia making only 30k- ?;s

it's not a top section where everyone can add his server, only admin can add servers there and there will be the server name, some quick info about the server and a banner

now about the integrate of forum with topsite you can do this with ipb content

I dont think it would kill MxC forum, because of it's age.

MxC have all categories: 

Lineage 2 - activity credits with certain servers for Don coins or special gear like maxcheaters Cloak ( we got designers who made custom cloaks for 2014 winning clans)
Dota - 100 posts = 50 credits ( paid by maxcheaters )
LoL - 100 posts = 50 RP ( paid by maxcheaters )
Other mmo servers same thing - certain servers as with L2
Official L2 - Discount % on adena

About Votes of servers L2 example, can be made users with minimum 50 posts, to reduce spam, Mxc got nice active mods that warn and ban spammers. or get VIP/Donator status

now about the integrate of forum with topsite you can do this with ipb content

huh =) you rly think Maxtor has time do add those servers out there =) dont be fooled, in plus either some of moders would want to waiste time moderating servers that can be avertising out there, as  long as you pay some fee $, to get a good place there, there is no need in moderating by admins, thats only need in some unappropriate cases, like overvoting, or scamming.

it will be spam if Maxtor make something like this, imagine if someone see that he can get RP for example by posting on forums he will start posting random things just to get the post count, and if someone tell him that he can't get a reward cause he spammed, cry mode will start and we will have some epic rage quits here ;p

ofc, that's true.

he can also add ipb economy (like the old adena system) and members can buy some things from shop like donator member for 10 days, rename, change custom title,etc so people will "hunt" the posts for the credits.

anyway that's a big discussion and Maxtor is not even here to discuss about that so let's wait to see if he have to say something about what we said here

And because of that this top creation can take a lot of time, consider that it would take  time just creating a personal cabinet for each admin(with many functions),  in plus those who would vote there, would earn something on the admin server, so thats too a work that need to be done(and not easy).

well yup, you're right on this.

this is so much work, but i really like your idea!

 "Cabinet for admins" does not require an fancy buttons there, first stages it can be simple to see statistics and just to test this theory about having a vote option on mxc. 

 

Competition for servers at the beginning: ONLY TOP 10 is shown, but can add 5000 servers, thats enough competition per day. No buttons to show SHOW all servers

 

votes filtered: Must be a MxC user -> 50+ posts -> once every 12 Hours or SMS vote, where mxc will receive enough budget to start considering it. Example http://mmotop.ru/ but with forum that is active since 2005

well yup, you're right on this.

this is so much work, but i really like your idea!

We have so many coders,designers here if someone did one thing, someone else another thing and so on it won't be that hard, even with a 2 minutes work from someone will be help

Its kind'a secret =) but maxtor allrdy ordered to start working on that, so there is couple of design features, but we have to test all of this in coding way, on local server, and to maintain work there.

The whole idea of this top is to make new reliable standarts of advertising servers, so it would require a lot of time, in plus from admins it would require additional info, not like now(with little info, some screenshots, and thats all).

 

P.S.

 

Top site section, would be an outgoing section, it would be like store section, so for new users(acctualy players from the server) it might not even need to create account on maxcheaters, but only create account on top section itself(maybe even not) because it would might be enough to get ip/HWID(if the module wouldn't be on IPB) and just work out with that data.

with this way only old members will vote, no one will start spamming around to get 50+ posts just to vote for a server

its to avoid vote spam made via changin IP's also most CURRENT ACTIVE MEMBERS have more than 50+ posts, for new players: get the 50 posts or VIP membership to make a vote. For forum its like achievement for users:

 

0-49 - Newbie

50 posts - MxC member "You can now vote for servers"

75 posts - You can now review servers directly on vote page

100 posts - You can now rate servers
