Phoenix History

- Birth Date: 29 May 2015.

- The next dimension will be opening its doors on Phoenix on the 29 August 2015.

 

What's a Dimensional Phoenix?

A dimensional Phoenix is a new Phoenix. It is a clone of Phoenix, with the same features, but in a different dimension. It shows up once in a while and then merges with the main dimension of Phoenix after some time.

 

- A Dimensional Phoenix is a brand new Phoenix. Everyone starts from 0 within that dimension.

- There's no way to transfer anything from the main dimension of Phoenix to a Dimensional Phoenix.

- You can not move your characters from the main dimension of Phoenix to a newer dimension.

- All characters within a dimension are moved to the main dimension of Phoenix when the merges happens (few months after that dimension launch).

- You can move from a new dimension of Phoenix to the main one whenever you like, if you feel ready for it before the merge forces your move there.

 

The following features are shared between dimensions:

- Boosted Hunting Grounds

- Mini Games

- Clan Halls

- Castles & Castle Sieges

- Fortresses & Fortresses Sieges

- Territory Wars

- Olympiads

- Epic Bosses

 

Note:

Certain adjustment may happen when PvPing against players from other dimensions.

 

What's the purpose?

We have seen how, the Lineage II community is lured by new servers for years now. For the simple reason it is better to jump on something that just opened, where you will be able to farm and rule the world with equal chances to the rest of the players. Due to this, as a server gets older and older, it becomes harder and harder to gain new players.

 

By creating new dimensions inside Phoenix, we are able to provide the Lineage II community with "new servers", constantly, without ever wiping anything.

 

A dimension stays around for two to three months, and then merge with the main dimension of Phoenix. When the merge happens, players should pretty much equal to the oldest Phoenix players. The idea is to open new dimensions on Phoenix once every 3 months or so and merge them into Phoenix once every 2 months or so. That way, we give the Lineage II community new servers to play on, constantly, without, ever, wiping their characters they gave so much love and efforts into building.

Yeah, i dont remember exactly the name of server but it was around the time after echokinetics faction closed, someguy named JStar made a faction server wich when talking to an npc it was setting your char to a low rate server. Main town was Kamael Village. Thats all i remember, not sure about the guy thought, but what im sure of its been done in the past.

The main dimension is still pretty fresh and we're seeing ton of new faces over there every days.

 

If you're alone, I guess both dimensions will do. If you're coming over with a clan, waiting for the new dimension might be a better pick.

I've been at the server from the beginning, once you join, you don't want anything else. It's full on awesome!

Ghost keeps on amazing the community with his new awesome unique stuff.

Just try it out, oh and don't think the game is sh!t after you hitted level 10 :-)

To be honest I have been waiting for the new dimenstion to start, couldn't wait for it so I decided to check the server on the Main dimension and boom, 100-200 online max :(  That got me really dissapointed, considering the fact that a large amount of the population from the main dimension will move to the new dimension, will make the main phoenix probbably die. Let's be honest, private lineage2 servers are mostly about the first 2-3 months of it's life. All of the epics, 2-3months olympiad fights, gearing up, getting your clan to the top, farming etc. Then it gets boring as there is almost nothing to conquer but only pimping up your character to the max. Over enchanting equipment, maxing skills etc.

So now a question to you Gh0st, do you think you can gather a couple hundreds of people on the new dimension's start? Are you going to advertise it properly and loudly?

We should hit a few hundred on the new dimension. Phoenix can seem pretty dead at times, during the dead hours, but on the peak hours we average a good 400-500 online.

 

Regarding the advertisement, I'm trying. I'm trying hard! but it isn't easy, even with a budget to advertise it. We've got advertisement up on both Maxcheaters and Topzone... and there isn't much more than that as far as I'm aware. There's Hopzone, but... they're overpriced.

Those top sites probbably won't bring as many players as advertising on every existing Lineage2 forum :P.
Most players who actually play l2 for quite a long time, visit only forums.
