ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
 
We have been developing our A.I for several years and it is considered as one of the best A.I engines. Do you want to know why? Read below!
 
New A.I System Presentation

 

  • Can interact with players and act accordingly, to current situation (help/disturb sieges, wars, parties...)
  • Can learn new skills and behaviors
  • Can learn best combat tactics against certain players, classes, enemies. The more a monster is experienced in combat (the more killed), the stronger and smarter it becomes
  • Environment awareness
  • Can (and will) use terrain advantages over enemies (eg: long range types, will flee to a spot from where they can perform attack, while their enemy cannot reach them easily)
  • Learning to avoid eg: water, when going around will result in a quicker arrival to destination, as opposed to going through water (water inflicts 50% speed reduction on all characters,  except fish/sea creatures)
  • While in panic/feared, will hide in the best place possible: like caves, buildings, rooms etc.
  • Can find, pickup/equip and use items (they are added to the monsters' individual droplist; if conditions are right, mobs can equip certain found items eg: weapons)
  • Unique, auto-naming of monsters
  • Monsters that utilize the new A.I system and its extensions, have their own, unique names through which players can identify the exact individual monster (eg. when looking for a monster, that found a specific item on ground)
  • New spawn system
  • Monsters can migrate to different zones (eg: from frequently visited by players places or places they are usually slain). When the conditions are met, a  complex chain of command structures, with leaders, sub-leaders, soldiers and supporters/helpers is made
  • Monsters can become a leader or join a group/chain of command structures
  • Monsters can form allies with other groups (or even player clans/allies), fight against common enemies (not limited to players), or help friends (buff, heal etc.)
  • Can raid towns eg: attempt to loot shops/players
  • Dynamic stats
  • Base stat randomization when a monster is spawned for the first time
  • Monsters evolve in time and with gained experience their base stats can change too
  • The pet/support monster training feature, allows you to teach your pet (or support monsters) certain automatic tasks, like which herbs to auto-pickup, how to aggro mobs in certain areas,  what skill to use when, and so on...

~ FEATURE SPOTLIGHT ~

 

 

CONQUERABLE LOCATIONS

 

- How it works:

 

Fight alongside your clan and conquer certain locations on the map. All the locations give certain rewards, though some of them may grant you additional bonuses! Once your clan has conquered a location, then your leader can recruit, train and equip an A.I-controlled army that will stand to your conquered location's defense!


Each conquerable location has its own "Throne"

Only clans Level 4 or above may be occupy a location

All clans are allowed to occupy multiple locations at once


- How to conquer a location:

Defeat the enemy NPC or clan defenders that currently own it!

 

- Benefits:


Praise and prestige for your clan and clan members

Special functions available at Conquerable Locations

Bonuses and rewards


- Conquerable Base Functions:

 

Only an owning clan's leader who is the owner may control/set functions (hire defenders etc.) of the location their clan owns! If your location is being attacked by another clan, all online clan members will be informed.

 

- Defense Ability Function:

 If this function is enabled and someone is attacking your location, then your base will automatically try to fend off the enemies. For example: the base is allowed to spawn defenders - IF the clan leader has bought/hired some - such as: intelligent NPC guards (like powerful mages which are able to use debuffs and magic attacks), or dangerous creatures (monsters). The conquerable base may also try to paralyze attackers for a few seconds. A clan leader may enable these defense abilities for an adequate price.

 

- Warning Function:

 

This function warns your entire clan of an attack to your base. Naturally, you will have to pay for this function.

Custom Channels

 

Multiple and categorized message channels (can be turned on/off), that display eg: event announcements, item auction info, boss

respawn, PK/PvP fights, skill land chances on target during combat and much more!

 

Issue & Bug Reports

 

Quick and easy reporting of problems or requests. Type .issue, and provide a short description. Submissions are viewable online, where your report's progress can be tracked. To notify the MMOPlay Staff about Geodata problems, just stand as close as possible to the place where you are experiencing difficulties, type .geobug and you can provide a short one-line description about the problem (eg."invisible wall"), to help us manage problem and respond quicker.

 

Languages

 

To select your language, Type: .lang.

Available Languages: English, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Greek.

Gameplay & Player Settings

 

- Away/offline shop message

- Setup away/offline message, that players will see when looking for you with .seen command, while you're offline.

- Offline Shop auto-responder: automatically provide additional business info to anyone who PMs your offline shop character.

 

Account Management

 

In-game account tools such as password change, character repair (teleport faulty character to Heine, move all inventory contents to warehouse, clear

shortcuts in order to resolve client crash on log-on.)

Yes, you heard that right! Our closed beta phase will be available on Saturday the 14th of June!


 


"What's going to happen now?"


On Thursday (12/06), the applications for beta testers will close and on Friday (13/06) we will decide who is going to be taking part in our closed beta! So, if you would like a chance to participate in the closed beta, you'll have to hurry!


 


In case you do not get selected as a closed beta tester, no worries! We will be launching a short open beta soon after the closed beta!

~New blog article : Server rates and Buff duration response~

 

 

 

"There are newbie helpers all over the world that give low-level characters (until level 75) 2-hour buffs. Of course only the basic ones like Might, Empower, Haste, Wind Walk, Shield etc. We are thinking of providing you with our scheme buffer too (you would be able to buff yourself  but it would cost Adena or Amber Adena to do so). The main reason as to why we do not want to extend the buff duration on the support classes' buffs, is that this might result into uneven competition, especially during PvP, clan wars or sieges.


 

 


We use a dynamic rate system on our server. In short: it adjusts the rates of each character individually (except for spoil, this rate is static and currently set to 6x) based on time spent online, and character level. So, you won't need to go to town every 30 minutes to get buffs. That is unless you wish to have dances/songs or other, more advanced buffs. Why are we doing that? Because there are many players that are interested in playing support classes (mainly girls, but not only :P). Making buffs or songs last for 1 hour or 2, would kill those classes.
 
It's hard to say that this server is mid rate. It'd be more appropriate to call it: mid and low rate. Because all the dynamic rate bonuses are off over level 78. That means that once you reach 78, your max. rate is around x5, and if you are online often, it drops to just above x3. This is to allow new players to quickly catch up with the server's average, but it makes it harder and more challenging and it will require the players to work hard in order to become very strong.
 
All this is to improve competition between clans, allies and players individually.
 
Heroes will be true heroes.
 

 


Our server also has a very advanced and extended AI system that controls all the monsters. They are very smart and will provide a lot of fun, so do not expect boring farming, 
 
Additionally higher level players will gain access to our other unique mods, like the strategy mod, where you can build your own army and control it in order to fight other player's armies. To build an army, one should prove that they are worthy of being a supreme commander."
