Nope, the answer is simple.

 

Why C1-C4 chronicles were awesome? Because it was something NEW for us, and by saying this i mean developers back then wanted to learn more and more about developing a server and they were spending a lot of timee on them. Nowdays most of them are having a rl job, other are not interesting at all,etc.

 

Old developers>all.

Lineage 2 is dying and the fact that they use fake online counters adds to it. It just started getting noticable.
