If l2j can login - but you can't obviously your not connecting to the right thing.

go check for authport.dll or other small 3kb dll's and remove them from import tables of other dlls.

 

Which you probably don't know how to - so just go dl a patched 746 system and change ip to localhost.

That is exactly what I want. Just to run server on my machine and test and play with it with client. I dont want to run server fot others right now. Problém is, that I cannot login into the game. Client looks like it cant reachthe login,  I dont know why, I do try to investigate it and discover error. When I set up l2j on local, it was running without problém, so I suppose, that problém it between chair and keyboard or something unexcpected, that needs to be setup on L2OFF platfom.

 

 

I do use pack from this thread, and there is no systém folder for the client, not the full client, if you meant this.  

if worked on you l2j than i assume is retail login port 2106. That why i told you to use system folder from the one with this pack because it uses 2618 like the server.

@xel - I don't have idea about which systém folder you speak. I downloaded the pack from this topic, there is NO systém folder in it. Or could you tell me where can I grab the systém you speak about?

 

EDIT: I am so stupid, I overlooked the systém folder in whole L2OFF folder, even though I looked again after your first answer about custom systém in folder. Sorry, got ya!

 

 

 

@McBigMac - sorry MC, that I dissapoint you as such a noob. All I want is to figure out, what is going on and how to solve it and get better. Unfornutanely, I am not able to do the first point as you said (removing import tables). I did try to search it on google, but still, I am not sure, what to do ( I will get better). Secondly, I am not sure, what do you mean by patched 746 systém. You mean systém folder with revision 746? If so, it looks to me, that is is really hard to download one these days. I have basic clean lineage 2 install and I also downloaded the latest patch before camael. Problém is, that my game wont start only with the basic client files on Windows 8, dunno why, there is some error. So in order to play it, I need to find some custom systém from running server like L2mid or sublimity or whatever.

 

I did download systém from L2mid and put it in my clean install folder. The thing is, ther systém folder is a bit different and they have a ini file called "Client.ini", where you can change the authport. So I did and changed it to 2104. Things started moving, but I am still not at the end. I have attached new Picture from my authD. Will this lead us somewhere? (Before I have asked you, I did try to search it on google, but was not succesfull to get a proper answer.

 

Thank to both of you guys, I am very glad that there is still someone with a knowledge about L2OFF as you are.

 

EDIT2: Sorry guys, I am really ashamed of my stupidity. I just overlooked custom systém folder for this pack even though I watched twice. It is now working and everything is set. OMG, two days because of this. Anyway thanks for the info and help. I really appreciate it.

And there goes my other question. Is there a way, that I can load only some part of NPCs? Or the only way to load NPCs is whole set?

EDIT3: Oh yes, there is, already found a way i think. :)

To delete npcs and load just some you need play from npcpost.txt from script folder. Delete wich you don't want.

 

The system was in folder "Client" as far as i remember.

You do not disappoint - it's just how it is.

People give up the minute it gets non-straight forward.

 

I know this because - you could have spent 2 minutes venturing into the client-section to find this:

I'd also say it's rather common knowledge that most newer servers have very updated antibots (some more efficient than others) - and therefor you obviously don't have the same serverside updates.

...and therefor dl'ing random servers systems will have a high probability of not working.

 

all in all quite logical - but i geuss you are a noob, if you say so ;)

I did not give up. :) It it the last thing which I would do.

All the time I did try to fix the problems on my own, besides writing on the forum here. (same it was with NPCS load, I figured out before someone actually helped me).

About the patched systems. Well, yes, I did not look into the section on the forum and thank you for a provided link. I chose to search it via google and I had some results, but not perfect really.

 

About servers, that is true, all in all quite logical. I did try it because I wanted to know if it can work or not, it was just an idea for a problém solving, which did not work out eventually. :)

You must be builder 1 than use //summon 57 10000000

this pack is good with a month balancing adding fixing skills then spawn your npcs make your farm areas then disable the "jail out" skills summon like friend etc

add your custom drops make some configs and then you have to deal that you will not have vote system autopickup and offline shops

if those 3 were added the rest could be covered/fixed somehow

it has no critical bugs its stable after all this

 

in other words its a good pack to practice with

 

plus after all this? its not easy to add something

reasons the so called l2off developers dont share they keep files to get in their graves

no reason to learn c when you find java codes everywhere

i personally never read java but i learned by patches and timelines something l2off lack in 100%

and there is no free l2off pack that you can open a server with

thats why l2off is not worth much or the opposite for some guys

What is balancing? Is it the way that you think the skills should work instead of how NCSoft made em?

yes depends on how a class bring down another class how fast depending on criticals after hours of pvp and some classes > other classes

that small summary depends also from other MMOrpg games too

thats balance for me

Oh yes.

 

I am sure your balancing is much better than the way mmo games devs do things: collecting data and statistics.

Gotta trust your feel, that surely aint biased.

 

 

 

Yes, I ignored the rest because you basically said to mod the whole game, create "farm zones", that learning C is useless and that java is awesome simply because its commonly found - which is not true at all.

 

Sounds like every l2j admin I ve ever seen.
