What's the most UNIQUE server, which ever exist?

Hello, I would be greatful if you tell me what server is/was REALLY UNIQUE.

 

Thanks in advance.

 

PS; If you can't find any info for this server, just tell what is/was the UNIQUE thing.

L2Dreams 50x when it was Gracia Final/Epilogue (everything single feature of it was tottaly perfect, especially the rebirth system/tattos (pretty balanced) + events and the top manager of each event and the a grade olympiad system ,oh)

L2Atlantis 1000x when it was Hellbound/Gracia Final/Epilogue (not good as dreams but i felt like home here, especially that it was pretty populated for a ro server, nice pvps, nice olympiad xD, sux balance though lol)

Didn't personally play Echo. But I heard loads of stuff about it. Apparently one of the most respected faction servers.

 

Pandora is down, but for the time it was up, it had many unique features that are just too many to list. Gameplay specific - they had a faction version which offered persistence outside of events. Neighboring lands would be fought over and a push-pull fight but it was still relatively open world.

 

After that they tried DoTA/FPS style gameplay where they had an engine to make instanced rooms with particular gametype (TvT/CTF/KOTH) for ~18 players. So you could make clan fights, fights with friends, etc. You could arrange fights with players of your own level, if you saw how FPS room/servers work like you could probably see the benefits.

 

Infinitel2 is 24/7 PvP. Not much to say. It WAS good. Now it's mostly carebear. Ignoring that it's unarguable that the quantity and duration of PvP on that server could rival the sumation of several lowrates in their whole life time. It's faction as well but its layed out well. It's a long story so you are welcome to see for yourself. I warn you, it really has become carebear.

 

SkirmishPvP also plays like FPS but no faction. The benefit is no commitment. You don't have to go to sleep feeling guilty that the guys who play more than you will be far ahead. You don't have to cry over lost raidbosses. You log in, make a char and it takes 3 mins to set up - most stuff are instant. Instant attribute, instant skill enchants, etc.

 

Lacks persistence and actual motive to PvP and it may show even further as the server progresses and players will be divided by timezones.

 

The uniqueness of these is that they move away from the MMO grind progression and bring you towards the actual MMO combat. You don't have to spend 6 weeks getting levels, then 2 weeks getting PvP gear, then by 9th week realize that its pretty dead and pointless as many server nowadays turn out.

Eckokinetics/pandora/infinite l2 were great factions servers, not like the sht you see now.

 

Skirmish has a good concept but it's not done yet.

 

Oh man... Echokinetics GvE. Probably the only pvp server I REALLY enjoyed playing along with Infinity Skills C4 (Peace zones off every 1 hour for 10 minutes and a winner announced when the peace zone status was back)

L2 OFF L2 Extreme 10k online.

it was 50k online on both 4 gameservers and FBI closed it because NcSoft claimed that this server made them lose 3 million dollars per year

Official is what Lineage 2 is meant to be. You cannot call it unique or common, because it's what every modified private server was based on. Retail is a category on its own.
