[Exploit/Trick] How To see rogues and target other types better.....

Recommended Posts

Hi all...ok my first exploit post. :-)

(I have tried it and it does work).

You all know just how hard (and annoying) it is when from out of no-where a rogue pops up and slices you to bits? Or how annoying it is to try and target a small human dwarf etc in a BG?

Well try this and you will not have a problem again.

REMEMBER: BEFORE you do this back up your wow folder in case you make a mistake. AND also remember that this effects YOUR computer only….no one else playing wow will see what you see. ;-)

First of all go download a program called WinMPQ. WinMPQ is a great little prog that lets you unpack the .MPQ files in the data file area in your world of warcraft folder.

When you have unpacked the files, go find a nice well known character, such as a Fire elemental.

Then you simply take the Fire Elemental graphic (or whatever you decided to choose) and put it in your wow folder, which by default is: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data. You then call it (for example) Human Dwarf, so that your wow installation will think that a human dwarf (or rogue or whatever you picked) looks like a Fire Elemental… ;-)

Now the fun part.

When you “See” a rogue/dwarf/whatever on screen you will see the Fire elemental instead. So who does this help you?

Easy……… Small player characters will stand out MUCH better and from a greater distance than there default graphics, and they will be easer to target too!

Also rogues seem (and I say seem, because they do for my shammy!) to appear to you quite a bit further away when they are steal thing than they normally do. A friend of mine stealthed to test this out when I was doing it and I could see him at least twice the normal distance away in stealth then when his graphic was normal.

I asked a friend of mine who used to work as a GM about this and was told that in the current patch the way a graphic loads in and displays was changed slightly which would account for why I could see my m8 before I should have done.

So I hope this helps some of you. I know that this works as I did it myself several weeks ago, and I did check the search in the forum to see if this had been posted before and it did not come up with anything.

Thanks for looking!

yes and lock gonna die in 5-6 sec....

you made a mistake m8

warlock won't die in 5-6 seconds...

he will die in less than 3...

or at least he won't be able to do anything, since cheap shot (in subtelty talent) does 4sec stun and gives 3 combo points, then the rogue does 2 backstabs, and the warlock is down, or is left with 20-30%HP, in which case you just do an "Eviscerate" and the Warlock DIES...

but if the Warlock sees you before you use Cheap shot, then the Rogue dies before he knows it..............

anyway, nice thinking Destiny

    • Both are in-game bots. I'm looking for an out-of-game bot ((one that doesn’t require the L2 client).     Hmm, never heard about this bot. Will check, thank you
    • 🎉 L2Mid is back! After a 3-year pause, we’re launching a new Interlude server based on the original Interlude client (old school 😉).   What to expect • The classic Interlude spirit • Old friends, rival clans, and returning legends • A season focused on pure nostalgia   This may be our final Interlude server. (maybe 😉) 🗓️ Opening: December 5, 2025 at 20:00 (GMT+2)   https://l2mid.com
    • Hello, i was wondering if there's a guide on how to add the enchanting armor glow system from  Ertheia or Lindvior to hi5?
    • I imported this file using Unreal Engine 2 Runtime, modified it, saved it back, and then placed it on the client. When I run the game and wear this back accessory, the client crashes!     2025.10.28 03:52:59 OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU : GenuineIntel  Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6100 CPU @ 3.70GHz @ 3697 MHz 1023MB RAM Video : NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (3064) PosCode : TS4(273) -119:-62:-1474 4/1 [0] SkeletalMesh MFighter_Fuckl2jangel.MFighter_Fuckl2jangel: Serial size mismatch: Got 383399, Expected 383403 History: LoadObject <- (SkeletalMesh MFighter_Fuckl2jangel.MFighter_Fuckl2jangel 8376427==8376427/8376498 7993028 383403) <- ULinkerLoad::Preload <- PreLoadObjects <- UObject::EndLoad <- UObject::StaticLoadObject <- (Engine.Mesh MFighter_Fuckl2jangel.MFighter_Fuckl2jangel NULL) <- UMeshComponent::LoadMeshComponent <- UMeshContainer::UpdateMeshComponents <- APawn::UpdateMeshComponents <- User::UpdatePawnMeshContainerByItem <- User::UpdatePawnMeshContainer <- User::SetPawnResource <- NCPawnView_InvenItemWnd::OnRButtonDown <- NCVirtualWndMain::SetFocusingWindow <- NCVirtualWndMain::DispatchWndMsg <- NConsoleWnd::DispatchWndMsg <- NConsoleWnd::MasterConsoleEventProcess <- UEngine::InputEvent <- UWindowsViewport::CauseInputEvent <- UWindowsViewport::UpdateInput <- UViewport::ReadInput <- APlayerController::Tick <- ALineagePlayerController::Tick <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=0) <- UMasterLevel::Tick <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop   I don't know what the reason is.
