I had thought I found the solution to my problem with editing the npcname-e.dat. I'm capable of editing it myself (the values 18257-18286 are the real chests), but I receive the same error as the one above when re-encrypting the files. This worked on C4-Interlude for me, but Chaotic Throne 1 gives me countless errors when modifying files in the system directory.
