register gameserver on linux (ubuntu)

Its my first time that i use linux software i install database without any problem but i cant register gameserver

why use linux? it's difficult to create a server in this os..

windows is easier :D

 

I know my skill on windows are good but if you buy a decicated windows costs , linux is better.

 

I installed java and still have this problem.

Use the command line and type:

 

apt-cache search jre (or jdk)

It'll print out a list of java related stuff, find the JRE or JDK with the highest version and type

sudo apt-get install <whateverwasfoundonthelist>

and if this doesnt work just download the jdk from the web and run it in your console.

 

is easier.

 

@maximilion2 linux is DA bomb kid, is cheap fast and relieable also if you do a good installation of it you can optimize your server to be faster than a l2j server runnin' in wind0ws

god, why do you use linux since you don't know how to install a programm? Anyway which kind of linux do you use?

Did you even read all the tittle or even any post ?

Go buy a dedicated machine with windows and will understand why Linux is necessary. 

Use the command line and type:

 

apt-cache search jre (or jdk)

It'll print out a list of java related stuff, find the JRE or JDK with the highest version and type

sudo apt-get install <whateverwasfoundonthelist>

Tnx I have already all Jre and jdk on my linux ubuntu but still got this error on registergameserver.

(Also i have changes primary in order to sun java jre is first from others e.x openjdk etc.)

      I'm looking for someone to remove GameGuard from a game that uses XTRAP. The game no longer uses XTRAP. I have a game server. But the client is kicked from the game after a few minutes of logging in. If I try to remove XTRAP (just by deleting it), the game opens and closes quickly.   Send me a PM.
