Versus Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 12-3-08 New way added! First Way 1)Go at start and press run 2)Write gpedit.msc 3)Go to computer configuration 4)Administrative Templates 5)Network 6)QoS Packet Scheduler 7)Now go to Limit reservable bandwidth and double click it (it's on the right) 8)The default value is Not Configured, but you have to check Enabled, change 20% to 0%,click aply,ok 9)Restart ur computer 10)Oh wow !Your internet connection is now 20% faster ! Remember this trick works only with Windows XP Pro. Speed up Mozilla Firefox about 3-30x Faster!!! 1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-30 times faster now. ENJOY THE MOZILLA FIREFOX POWAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second Way Screen: Needed things: - Windows XP SP2 (from RC2 upwards) or Windows 2003 Server SP1 beta - patcher - a small amount of time What's been done: To say it easy: the before 10 half-open connections are beeing increased to 50 (can be changed during runtime and with the parameter /L) and the CRC is been corrected. And that's it! Info: When error occurs, the patcher can change the TCPIP.SYS back to the original! Instruction: Just download the patcher and execute it. It will automatically find the windows directory and ask, if it should increase/decrease. For higher values, please check the help with parameter /?. After a successful patch, the new TCPIP.SYS will be automatically installed. After that, the computer should be restarted. Fakoyka's Comment: The site of the patcher is included in the patcher (credits). The second way gives u about 15-20% speed.Of course u can use both of ways for really good speed,as i do!Please don't start telling that it is not working without testing! Thanks a lot..
