The text is absolutely horrible :P What was the original picture you used? I wouldn't use 'Bevel & Emboss', if I were you. Because using it for the sake of using it doesn't give such great results as you see. Text isn't as readable because of it. Did you use 'Outer Glow' too? I wouldn't necessarily use it on text myself. But yeah, imo, get rid of that 'Bevel & Emboss' and get some soft 'Color Gradient' instead and maybe a 'Stroke' (1px, dark & lowered opacity) instead of the 'Outer Glow'. But the background, if you did it yourself for that matter, looks really leet!

Don't take this offensively but you have done everything wrong you could have. I realize you are probably new to this thing, so don't let this sound too harsh but yeah. The font you picked... personally I think it's just flat-out wrong for this logotype. Should pick something more default, simpler and cleaner. The font is half the work done already. But picking the right one isn't always easy. Also you use Bevel & Emboss wrong. Don't use it for now until you get more familiar with it. And the wrong font-choice goes for your sub-text too. Could have maybe used a faint color gradient on the letters too that would have made it look less bland. Good luck on the next one though!

That... LOOKS like a background (some wallpaper) with a logo, a text and an animated text. :/ There isn't even much to comment on really. If its just a background with a few text layers it really has nothing to do with "GFX" per se. I'd give the 'signature' (?) a border though. Maybe a 1px stroke (black?) around the signature layer? Hm, maybe brush some color like white and black on overlay around the sig to make colors more vibrant and move certain areas into more of a focus etc. The text.. you should leave your hands off of animation for now imo.

Only thing I don't really like is the background itself. It just doesn't look like much of anything to me but that might just be personal preference. Everything else seems to be okay. But I wouldn't make all the text bold like that, maybe give it a bit more space between letters too. Make the url and bullets a little smaller imo and fill out the canvas a little more For example with the text, spreading it out so the sides aren't as empty.

We've all had nostalgic moments in l2 that we would like to relive so I'm curious what about L2 makes you like it and come back to it and what would you do nowadays to bring these good memories back to life?

You know what? That's bullshiet. I rarely ever use(d) any kind of tutorials and yet learned quite a bit. You don't need anyone to show you around. Sure, when you turn it PS on it might seem complex at first. But you can't hope to turn on an entirely new program and expect to be amazing using it. If people really wanted to use Photoshop, then they would. Most just aren't dedicated enough, they get demotivated because their stuff sucks. My first signatures and whatnot sucked ass too, believe it or not. But if you keep on doing it, you'll eventually start to get an eye for things and realize what looks good and clean and what does not.

Why is his "render resize" horrible? But yeah I wouldn't use animation in signatures, at least no animation like that. And you see the color banding occurring (the weird lines when the color goes from green to black or vice versa), makes it look kind of bad. Can try some guasian blurr and/or noise (not much, just really a little bit of noise) to try and improve on that and get rid of the banding, if it occurs. But yeah the background is a bit meh. Maybe for starters you COULD start with a wallpaper or picture that has already been made, and then later move on to making them yourself.

I'd make the green color of your bar fit with the green of the deviantart logo, would look better that way (imo). Also wouldn't be using outer glow (?) on the text. Maybe a black 1px stroke on low (20%?) opacity to add in some depth. Frame the logo in in a border maybe. And the white pixels on the corners of the logo look a little weird, I'd remove them.
