True, but not everyone is opening a server for money. And yet servers die due to community... not because of the owner/dev. Still you are right.

There are too many silly servers out there, and im sorry guys but i blame the L2J users... This started to spread like a disease and it took over L2OFF, everyone can set up a L2J server and since some time back i see alot of people are doing it. As someone upper said, there are more servers than players, some of the dumbish servers should shut down since they own under 100-50 players online. I started to play l2 since koreean beta and it was quite fun, nowdays its a star wars fest due to the ton of servers made by brazilians or dumb greeks looking for few bucks made from lolish donations. Lineage is not dead, its just "made" dead by the people that make stupid servers and the players that play such servers. I am a part of a mid-high community of l2 gamers and i know exactly what they look for, there are a shit load of people right now looking for a decent server ... and there isnt anything worth playing. L2 is not dead, i shall prove it. Suggestion to server owners : stop wasting time creating dumb servers and stop breaking the hearts of our l2 mates.

Hmm, interesting. You try so much to revive the OFF section but sadly the old server creators are kinda "gone" , im old-school but your efforts are nice. Still my opinion you share and say too much, in a way i'd say : some things are better left in the dark. Who wants something...well he can do it on his own. Sorry but what i said its in a good way.

If you succeed to start the game with altered textures and maps then you are on the right path. Even so you are missing some files that you must add, recheck your stuff again. Im pretty sure if you are able to log ingame you get crit err when you walk to the section of the map where you moded. This moding is quite simple and logic, i managed by myself to add in IL client Hellbound Island and Isle of Prayer fully. Relative easy if you take it logical.

Exactly, such thing is relative easy, but still not everyone that is "messing" with OFF files knows this.

This is a common mistake of a server-creator, asking players for advices or pointing out stuff. You as owner should be creative and able to do/redo/correct stuff that you want. Use your imagination and create your own features, then start a forum, and see what people like and do not like, create polls and see their opinions. If something should be changed then if you are capable you will do it. This is my opinion.

@Tяαnce : Maybe, but sincerly i haven't saw zRanger to be blocked anywhere. If someone will show me a server that can stop zRanger i'll bow down to him. I can test my zRanger on any server and i bet my last buck that zRanger cannot be stopped.

Depends on to who you are refering. If you refer to the idiots that resell free shared broken shit, then dont. The russians have a rather good geo in relation to Vang's one.

Can be done, but it requires alot of brain activity and free time. Everything is posible :)

On L2J i dont know really, but on L2OFF there are few configs that can be done to stop all kind of walkers except zRanger that noone will ever stop. Should be the same deal on L2J, zRanger cannot be stopped. I hope you find something, gl.
