Guide to a server Lineage 2 - Kamael.

Based on L2J.

Is L2J:

L2J is an alternative Lineage 2 Game Server written in pure Java for the best compatibility. L2J gives you the possibility of hosting a game legally in this popular server Korean MMO created by NCSoft. It is still unfinished and some features are still missing, but L2J development team is working hard on its implementation. L2J Server is distributed under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE hope that in a model of open source is the best for the development of quality software gives everyone the opportunity to participate in development through the introduction of the code.

 

Legend:

Color green: add.

Color Red: delete.

Orange color: check.

Before continuing:

Please note that for a server Lineage 2, you must have a machine with good.

There are two methods for making a server:

1) Through the eclipse: This method is the most used because it also serves to update the server of a revision to another, a change jar, among other features. (Recommending).

2) Download files already built.

Note: If you are using this method, not download the eclipse and evade the first step in the guide.

 

To make a server Lineage 2, in this case Kamael, you need the following programs:

Java JDK. (Page officer downloads).

Wampserver. (Download my space).

Navicat (Platform for Windows). (Page officer downloads).

Install the software.

Note: the installation Wampserver not modify the folder in which you are going to install by default.

 

You will need:

Eclipse Classic (Platform for Windows). (Page officer downloads).

Unzip your favorite folder.

Step one:

 

Run the eclipse was open a window in which to ask that the site be created work area (a folder called workspace where the program will download the files from the server), choose any folder fast access.

After starting the program appears a welcome screen, which cerramas upper left.

After going to the tab Help> Software Updates> Find and Install…

In the Search window select new features to install and click on next, we click in New Remote Site… and in the new window typing:

Name: subeclipse

URL: subclipse: Subclipse Update Site

We click OK, select subeclipse and click Finish.

 

A new window appears in which we select denuevo subeclipse and click Next, we accept the terms of use, Next and Finish last.

When I downloaded a new window appears in which we click on Install All this in the Eclipse install a plug-in to manage SVN, then you wonder if you are going to restart the Eclipse and we click Yes.

When you start another program, let's tab Window> Preferences> Java> Installed Jres.

In the window deseleccionamos jre and click on Search…, select My Computer> Local Disk (C:)> Program Files> Java and click OK.

Then it will appear in the window and select the jdk, click OK.

Now let's tab Window> Show View> Other…> SVN> SVN repository.

An area that appears white, right-click on it and in the submenu: New> Repository Location…

In the window we place the URL of the SVN of developers L2J servers with which we want to work.

Note: In this case work with L2J-Datapack and L2J-Server!

 

URL: 3887 Revision: /

In the same area again right clicking on it and in the submenu: New> Repository Location…

URL: 1534 Revision: /

In the area expand Revision 3887: / double-clicking on it, then do the same with trunk and finally we clicked right datapack_development and in the submenu Checkout…

Then you saldra a window to which we click Finish, began to download data from data to the server, we are going to finish the tab Window> Show View and in the submenu we click in Package Explorer.

We open the window Package Explorer normally to the left, where it appears datapack_development which expand by double-clicking, then look for the build.xml file and click on the right: Run> 1 Ant Build.

Note: possibly a message appears saying: Can not run program "svnversion" CreateProcess error = 2, the system can not find the specified file, ignore.

 

At the end we will have the archives of the datapack built.

Now we need the files on the server, expand Revision 1534: /, then we do the same with trunk and finally we clicked right l2_gameserver_t1 and in the submenu Checkout…

Then you saldra a window to which we click Finish, began to download the files to the server and at the end, we return to the window Package Explorer, which appears l2_gameserver_t1 which expand by double-clicking, then look for the build.xml file and we click on the right: Run> 1 Ant Build.

Note: possibly a message appears saying: Can not run program "svnversion" CreateProcess error = 2, the system can not find the specified file, ignore.

 

At the end we will have the files of the server built.

Second step:

 

We execute the Wampserver.

We opened the Navicat and click on Connection, stuffed in the window:

Conection Name: servidorHost name / IP address: localhost

Port: 3306

User Name: Root

Password:

Note: Password we leave the field blank.

 

We click OK, then in the field of Connections server double-click to open it, then right-click on it and in the submenu New Database…, stuffed in the window:

Enter Database Name: l2jdb

The rest will leave so by default, we click OK.

Now we click on Manage User, we select root @ localhost and click on Edit User and change:

User Name: Root

Host: localhost

Password: your password

Confirm Password: your password

Note: password you put here will be the same as we will use throughout the guide.

 

We click OK and close the Navicat.

Step Three:

 

For those who use Eclipse:

Let the Local Disk (C:) and create a folder with the name server, then go to the folder of the working area of the eclipse that place when we began the eclipse for the first time…

We entered the folder l2_gameserver_t1> build and copy the file l2j-server.zip and paste inside the folder that believe in ©, now do the same, but with the folder datapack_development> build and copy the file l2j_datapack.zip and paste it into the folder you believe in ©.

Now unpack first l2j-server.zip and then l2j_datapack.zip.

For those who wish to download the files already built:

You need:

L2J-Datapack. (Page officer downloads).

L2J-Server. (Page officer downloads).

Download folder on your favorite.

Let the Local Disk (C:) and create a folder with the name server, then go to the folder where the files downloaded.

Copy file l2j_server-unstable.zip and paste inside the folder that believe in ©, now do the same, but with the file l2j_datapack-unstable.zip and paste it into the folder you believe in (C .

Now unpack first l2j_server-unstable.zip and then l2j_datapack-unstable.zip.

Note: these discharges revision change every day.

 

Step four:

 

After entering the folder tools, and we double-click database_installer, which open a window asking:

Write the path to your MySQL binaries (no trailing slash needed): (default C: \ Program Files \ MySQL \ MySQL Server 5.0 \ bin):

C: \ wamp \ bin \ mysql \ mysql5.0.45 \ bin press enter.

MySQL Username (default is' root '):

Pressed Enter.

Password (will be shown as you type, default "):

Your password, press enter.

Database (default is' l2jdb '):

Pressed Enter.

Host (default is' localhost '):

Pressed Enter.

User (default is' root '):

Pressed Enter.

Pass (default is' password '):

Pressed Enter.

Database (default is' l2jdb '):

Pressed Enter.

Host (default is' localhost '):

Pressed Enter.

Colour mode © odor or (n) on-color, default c:

Pressed Enter.

Path for your backups (default'.'):

Pressed Enter.

Path for your logs (default'.'):

Pressed Enter.

Debugging messages and increase verbosity a lil bit (y / n, default 'and'):

Pressed enter and at the end press any key.

Choose (no default for fresh install):

F press Enter.

Empezara installing tables at the end of the server and press any key.

Step five:

 

We entered the folder login> config and we double-click the file loginserver.

Note: possibly because it was the first time you open another window with a… in which we select Notepad and select the box: Always use the selected program to open these files, click OK.

 

Once open look for the following lines:

ExternalHostname = our IP DNS

InternalHostname = 127.0.0.1

Password = password

Save and close.

Step Six:

 

Now go back to the folder login and we double-click the file RegisterGameServer, once asked:

Your Choice:

1, press enter and it will create a file called hexid (server 1).

We search for it in the folder and you change the name hexid, cut and paste in the folder gameserver> config.

Seventh step:

 

Already inside the folder config we double click on the file server and look for the following lines:

ExternalHostname = our IP DNS

InternalHostname = 127.0.0.1

Password = password

Save and close.

Eighth step:

 

Then we go to the folder login and we double-click the file startLoginServer to initiate the login.

At the end of the load should appear: Login Server ready on *: 2106

 

Ninth step:

 

Then we go to the folder gameserver and we double-click the file startGameServer, to start the server.

At the end of the load should appear: Registered on login as Server 1: Bartz

 

Tenth step:

 

In the folder gameserver> config, but there configurable files to customize the server.

i'm following this guide, but i've got problem when i try to register gamerserver, this problem are relatede to java, but i don't know what i've done wrong...

 

i've installed everything perfectly, and also made the l2jdb, and executed the database installer without troubles

i've modified the loginserver.properties file using the localhost ip (127.0.0.1) ad using as DNS ip always 127.0.0.1 is this wrong? i only want to test the server in local

 

if someone can hel, i'll be tnkfull
