MasterDisaster Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Hello, as you may know I am facing several problems with black ops. After changing my CPU today,it was far than better ...However,there's always a fvcking 'but'! It crashed as many times I tried to get in-game and I always got an error which couldn't be seen. I finally managed to get that errors signature and misc shit. Errors signature: szAppName : BlackOps.exe szAppVer : 0.0.0.0 szModName : hungapp szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000 Error'ed files: BlackOps.exe.mdmp appcompat.txt Help me and I will be your slave for ever! P.S.:I am also willing to try to format my computer as it seems to come as an error that will be solved if I do so but before formatting,I would like to read some answers. So go on!
Versus Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 The solution is only one! DON'T PLAY FREAKING COD! Dude, seriously, check at google you'll see so many people facing problems with this game, treyarch screwed it up, i have the game myself but i don't play it, i'm waiting for some update to fix the issue, if no update comes up, then i'll uninstall it. Don't format, it won't solve anything and certainly don't upgrade your computer for COD, it will still lag no matter what pc you got.
ProJecT Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic128063.html Appcompat.txt is simply a reporting file used when uploading error reports to Microsoft. You've seen the message asking you if you would like to "report this error to Microsoft"? Appcompat.txt is a file that is uploaded if you say yes. Appcompat.txt is not the problem. It contains information about the problem. Open it up in notepad, and you'll see what I mean. When you get an error message that references appcompat.txt, it'll usually give you the full path to the file. So click on Start, Run and enter: notepad C:\DOCUME~1\username\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER7b4e.dir00\appcompat.txt Where "C:\DOCUME~1\username\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER7b4e.dir00\appcompat.txt" is replaced with the actual information that was presented in the error message. You'll see a lot of technical information that begins with this: (edited out) Also check here: http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Windows/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser/2004-06/4321.html http://forums.techguy.org/windows-xp/638168-problems-internet-explorer.html
