Outcome :

1.Start of with a blank canvas any size you want.

 

2.Fill with white.

3.Now go Filter>Texture>Grain with Intensity and Contrast both on 100, grain type is vertical.

4.Now go filter>artistic>neon glow with these setting:

glow size: 5  Glow brightness:20 Colour: a light green

5.Filter>stylise>glowing edges

Edge width:1

Edge brightness:14

Smoothness:14

6. Now hit ctrl+u and put the hue up to 180.

If you want animation contine on ,if you dont stop

 

7.Go "edit in imageready" andgo to Windows > Animation. Press the Duplicate Frame button. Now there should be two frames. Select the second frame,( the frame is highlited in blue) and select the Move Tool. Hold down Shift, and drag the matrix layer down the workspace.

Now, go to Select > Load Selection, and load the transparency of the matrix layer (Ctrl+Click+Matrix Layer). Then go to Image > Crop.

 

Now on the animation pallete(a little arrow at the end on of the animation frame) click tween and put these settings.

Now you save it by going to FIle>save optimized as

God knows i love the matrix effect :) (makes you puke if you stare at it for 5 days straight shouting "NEO! NEO! COME TAKE ME!!" ....not that i have done it or anything.....a friend told me...or smth....

hmm... I remember tutorials that show how to make that effect more 'realistic' (= like in the movie) just cant find the links right now... google will help me one day :P

I dont really like your outcome either... you can too easily see where it loops... sure that can be fixed though :)

 

(no flame post, just pure opinion ;))

Good to know how to make this effect.

Maybe its not hard for advanced users, but for those who usually dont use photoshop etc this is a really useful guide.

any version of photoshop, CS2/CS3 doesnt really matter.

 

 

download the trial for photoshop (CS3) at adobe.com https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop the trial itself is free for 30 days (just need to make a free account on adobe.com)

 

then go get a keygen from isohunt.com, you just got a full version of photoshop cs3 for free. gratz.

 

this can be done for all adobe products.
