How to make uTorrent (μTorrent) Very Fast (Update 15-Oct-2010)

Many tutorials were out of date, so i decided to make a step by step tutorial on how to configure utorrent's settings

and get MAX Speed. the speed is dependent on the seeders, so it is not my fault if you download torrents with 2

seeders. not only your internet speed.

 

Keep in mind this will make uTorrent to download at max speeds of your internet speed.

 

Step 0. Change uTorrent language to english so you are going to understand everything correctly

Step 1. Open uTorrent

Step 2. Go to Options -> Preferences

Step 3. Now Click Connection on the list from the left.

Step 4. Be sure Everything is like in the image, including port: 45682

Step 5. Now choose bandwidth on the left and be sure that everything looks like this image

 

Step 6. Now choose BitTorrent from the left, and be sure at "Protocol Encryption" outgoing is enabled, and all the checkboxes are checked except the "limit local peer bandwidth one"

Step 7. Now choose Queueing on the left tab, be sure the 2 checkboxes are UNchecked, and the ratio is 100% not 150%

Step 8. Now go to advanced on the left. and change those

 

bt.allow_same_ip  true

bt.enable_tracker  true

bt.no_connect_to_services  false

bt.send_have_to_seed  false

gui.bypass_search_redirect  true

ipfilter.enable  false

net.max_halfopen  66

net.outgoing_port  50

net.wsaevents  150

peer.disconnect_inactive_interval  900

queue.dont_count_slow_dl  false

queue.dont_count_slow_ul  false

 

Then hit apply and OK. then restart uTorrent, then try downloading any torrent and enjoy the speeds.
