Ban the word ''noob''

Ok i reckon they should ban the word noob from Lineage 2. Ive been playing Lineage 2 for 2 years now (played retail for 1 and a half years) and all i hear from people for an insult is the word noob. Nobody goes 'oh you wanker or you're a prick' like normal people would say to you as an insult.

 

But no, people say the same old over used lame internet word noob. The amount of people who called me a noob but hence they never knew what it meant. At least 90% of people in the last 2 years who called me a noob didnt even know what it meant untill i had to explain to them.

 

So i got a question for you people. Why do you use the word noob? i just dont find it much as an insult really.

 

P.S. Noob = Newbie as in a short internet term for new player. So how the fuck is calling someone a ''new player'' an insult. Sounds retarded imo.

They call You Noob or nAAb becouse they think Your knowedgle about L2 is poor and they want to show how they are so pr0 knowedgle killers  ;D

 

But actually Noob is treated like an offence, they call somebody like that becouse of situation (they had killed You), or You will fail Your +10 weapon enchant, etc, it's not allways about how much You know about the game.

I only use it when they actually deserve to be called a noob...

 

If they come up and Pk me on a lvl 80 prophet in S grade +0 and they're a lvl 80 PR with +30 drac and start talking shit... Yea, i call em a noob.  Or if its a +0 vs +20 or higher

 

I also use it when its a huge ass zerg.  10v8, not a zerg.  But i've been called a noob when it was me vs a whole party and a bishop...  Funny how it took 9+bishop to kill me and im the noob <_<

Yea but that still sounds retarded. Noob should be only used when someone has just started the game or doesnt have much knowing of the game. Like for exsample someone shouted out ''What lvl you have to be to wear A grade?'' then you can say ''You noob its lvl 61''. Thats the only time that the word noob should be used otherwise you should like a cunt.

But thats stupid as well. Why would you call someone a new player or lack of knowing of l2 just because he used a much stronger or more people to kill you with? Calling him/her noob in that scene is retarded because it doesnt make any sence.

actually the word noob is used by many as an insult and not as it is supposed to be (newbie, new to game etc.)..many just want to say something like..."you are a noob, you can't compare with me, i am the best..." or something like that.

yea... i only make some1 noob when he is new or he tryes to make something that he CANT do... then i call him noob! i actually make my self noob sometimes :D when i am newbie at something.

I never treated noob/naab as an insult.

 

Word noob doesnt have to mean only: ''new player'', cause when someone act stupid, have lack of knowledge about some things etc. - he act like noob(new player?). It can also mean a person that have done something wrong. (for example killed an ally/clan mate, if he cant recognize ally/clan mate doesnt it mean he is noob?) ;)

I love the ppl that call me noob say qq or gg bb etc etc....

It's more funny when I find them alone after a while and own them!!!

The tip is after taking theese guys now is not to say who is the noob now bla bla i kicked ur ass etc etc....

IMO there's a difference between a noob and a newbie... although I know the definitions are the same and the first originate from the latter...

 

Newbie: person new to the game and naturally dont relly knows that much... hence asking and learning

 

Noob: simply just a stupid person who just really fail... who doesnt learn from his mistakes and will keep running around doing plain stupid things...
