L2Updater 1.1.2a Help!

I downloaded this updater, http://forum.ragezone.com/f328/share-l2updater-1-0-1a-314874/ but i have a problem with it and i hope someone on here uses it and knows how it works properly or is smater than me and can offer some assistance ok this is the problem

 

I tried changeing it so that it was like this

etc, but everytime i started L2updater.exe it crashed can someone tell me where im going wrong please ?

 

I found this in the system folder it was trying to download to when it crashed i dont understand it though maybe someone else will

it works perfectly fine but they dont go into the folder i want them too, the files go into the main directory realy weird

 

Im realy stomped on why it wont work like i want it too, unless it doesnt do what i thought it did, but i hope someone on this forum knows how to work it, thanks!

I tried some time before for the same uploader but i didn't succeed..Can u make a small guide?Or something else?I hope that u can help (and u want to).

sure just tell me what part you dont understand and ill try my best to help you with it

When i open upbuilder and select the items which i want users to download with the updater it says L2Updater.exe not found in "clean" directory.Do u know what i have to do?Thanks

well im gonna take it that ur trying to use a system folder, so ill use that as an example,

 

make a new folder on ur desktop and call it what ever you want, then put in ur system folder, next you want to put L2updater.exe and updater config in the first folder u made, DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE SYSTEM FOLDER, thats where i was going wrong with it if u put them 2 files in ur system folder it will not work, now open upbuilder and navigate it to the first folder u made and thats it, if u need anymore help let me know

Ok thanks now upbuilder works but i have another problem now :'(

When it says that all files packed i delete a file to test if updater works and when i open it,it says this

 

Application Error:

what file are u deleting ?

I don't remember exactly.One of the packed.Into System folder (of course after upbuilder finished).

you setup the config right ? added ur update url etc ?

oh uh..No..I don't know anything about those things.I only did this thing with upbuilder.Can u plz tell me all the steps i have to do?

you need to open updater config with notepad you will see this

 

[main]

NewsUrl=

UpdatesUrl=

 

just fill out your details and thats it

At UpdatesUrl what i have to fill out?Sorry for my stupid question but i don't know anything about those things! :P

well for updates url it would be something like this www.yoursite.com/updates,

Ok i've done it.But when i open the updater it closes again or it says that All files has been updated (but they are not).If i want some1 to update his client with my server files i must give him L2Updater.exe and updater.ini?

      Without discouraging your enthusiasm, and having looked at what you went through... I think you asked Cursor to migrate l2j to .net.... on the other hand clearly you don't have experience in programming or in a high concurrency project... since in this kind of issues ORMs don't work... think that if it would work well in l2j we would use Spring Data with hibernate and that kind of things. it's not like that, unfortunately the best way to talk to the database in an efficient way is optimizing queries and interaction with the database. Don't get discouraged just keep researching!
