Are you people serious or what ??

My father's PC at Work has 512 MiB of RAM, w/Win7 Installed, runs JUST fine

(Had WinXP SP3 before - SAME performance)...

Pff disable transparent aero & enable Paging File (Virtual Memory)..

PS: Is it that Hard ?

win7 use memory as a cache thats why it use more memory than xp and thats why all HDD is faster under win7...win7 use your ram more effectively and make the HDD usage lighter also if you have turned on superfetch its use your ram again with more efficent
