What's the diffirence of L2j and l2off

Emulator made from scratch using Java

Easy like hell to be setup (in most cases...)

Does not require any kind of super duper hardware

Pretty easy to be modified

Does not require too much knowledge

It's easier to be used (for example, admin panel)

Under constant development

OPEN SOURCE

LEGAL

 

L2Off

 

You must know what the heck you are doing

It takes too much time to change something

Much more powerful

It does require professional hardware

It does require basic knowledge of lots of things (MYSQL, C++, and more)

Much more stable

100% working c1-c2-c3-c4

Only a few people work on it but they do not share their work

It is not open source

IT'S ILLEGAL!

 

 

As you can see, we had a small conversation with pyromaker about that. At the current state, l2off pwns hard l2j, but this will change for sure... If the off c4 files didn't leak, nobody would mess with l2off right now...

so l2 off is kinda like official when they were c4 (c3,c2,c1..)

 

but I think that l2 off has less lag and can hold more players, but I am not sure

With the right config yes but so does and the l2j but l2off needs really pro hardware ^^

L2java is illegal aswell (plagiarism). Any kind of private servers are illegal, as NCsoft says (source : L2 hp).

Since the users don't have any contract with NCsoft, we're in some kind of legal grey area (argumentation from several L2j dev-teams).

 

Lawsuits are going on.

Almost all servers are L2J now ... L2OFF Free servers are almost Dead(Since all are C4 with mods of C5). Yes much more stable but everyone wish to play on Interlude or Kamael.

Best private servers are still L2off (l2s, l2x reborn)
