ExTrEmEDwarf Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Well, i decided to host a website, im still looking for the name and for what it will be but i want to find the best domain outta there first. So i found one good domain, that i had an ftp account before 1 year from a very good friend that hosted lineage2forever for 3 years. I was uploading my stuff there, and it was quite good. Here it is: http://www.servage.net/ 6.35€ / month and with these features: http://www.servage.net/page/features/ Does it worth? If not; tell me a better hosting company.
xXSkillerXx Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Yes it's ok. Most greek webhosting companies charge more and offer less than this one. :-) E.g www.cretaforce.gr or www.000webhost.com
ExTrEmEDwarf Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Cretaforce: Seems a nice hosting company but it have only 1GB storage and very less stats than servage.net 000webhost: seems good but low stats too. 1500 MB Disk Space, 100 GB Data Transfer.. so till now servage is teh best. Also i checked http://www.hostyourdream.net/ that k4rma use it, i dont like it either. Any other? :D
MasterDisaster Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Take a look here! BTW what is your website gonna be about? May I help you with it? It would be my pleasure.
Seamless Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Cretaforse works great on me and i trust that company :)
Łighto™ Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Securesignup.net is a very good company. I have used this several times and it is very good & quite cheap. I fully recommend it to ye.

There's a chance of over-selling.But they seem to be perfect. EDIT : Minimum contract : 3 months.
ExTrEmEDwarf Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 There's a chance of over-selling.But they seem to be perfect. EDIT : Minimum contract : 3 months. im about to get the 14 moths and pre-pay the 88.9 euros. If i keep it i will pay for more months >.< @Lighto: I got a yearly domain of lineage2necropolis on securesignup and i have it for test purposes. The only minus is that it have 250gb bandwidth and servage have 7 terabyte. Im testing there on a hidden forum some things and i got a backup. Also, i wanna see what im gonna do with the new site and get it before i buy the new one.
ExTrEmEDwarf Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 Alright. If i would buy the servage i would pre-pay it for 14 months, so 6.35*14=88.9€. I found another one, with unlimited bandwidth, tell me your opinions. http://www.fatcow.com/fatcow/fatcow.bml?page=features so 44.47 € / year with unlimited bandwidth and disk space

Intrepid Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 get a domain from hetzner and redirect it to a free host
ExTrEmEDwarf Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 Why would i redirect it to a free host? But hetzner have less features than fatcow and its way more expensive * 600 GB free carry-over capacity per month * 10 GB disc space for commercial or private content * 1000 autoresponders (E.g. acknowledgement of receipt of email or out of office replies) * 1000 POP3/IMAP accounts for receipt of emails * Up to 10000 alias addresses for internal or external forwarded of email addresses * 100 FTP accesses * 2000 sub-domains included * 50 of your own databases with MySQL or PostgreSQL * TYPO3 compatible * TYPO3 Installer * 10 Cron jobs included * Support of CGI scripts, Perl and Python * Perl script checker * Interactive server login via SSH * Comprehensive application development system (GCC, C++, PERL, etc) * Free email support (no telephone support)
