I believe the best newbie player is Sniper.

Just 1 skill, that nobody uses, and your ulti.

 

If played right he can pwn hard, but if not played right he's not THAT bad :P

Also I consider traxex easy to use.

And hard to be killed.

 

Basically no, I believe invoker is the easier character =D

 

(just kidding, don't try invoker if you're a newbie at DotA)
