~Zeus~ Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 i vote: New style of Magic Critical many chances but less dmg than before is very good dmg.
`Gerero® Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 i think that is better to have many chances at mcs with less dmg either to have less mcs and more dmg because with more mc you hit more dmg than with the other less mcs
Elderon Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 i prefer the Old magic crit(system) because on pvp servers when mages are full buffed they cast 7/10 spells critical! that's Lame xD i agree with u
naxo13 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Mmmm, i think that the Old Styles is the best, couse if u r lucky, u can win a pvp with only 1 hit, :), and i love when that happens ;D :P
Desdemona Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 archer range attack > mage range attack archer speed > mage speed so archer can run and kite mage, that why mage should have high m crit rate because if he catch archer then have chance to win :P
SienTo Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 A full buffed archer doesn't have more than 185 speed in the very best... Also an Archer has way too less attack speed in # with a mage's casting speed... I haven't play with the new style of M.Critical yet but i think this way has gone way too far... Plus... i think it is a good way for the servers to see more mages on High Rate ones since lately most of the players prefer to make an Archer because of the low profile shooting tank rather than a Mage which is a 4shot kill toy. If i ever play with the new style (which i guess is implemented on Gracia Part 2 where i don't think i'll play soon) i will reply A.S.A.P with my oppinion. Also... i would be greatful to the guy who can make for me a statistic with the Old Style and with The New Style. Thnx...
jsaugs Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 The old one obviously. With maxed out magic crit buffs and a valakas necklace, you do insane damage and tons of magic crits.
aaaa Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 They are both rigged. If there was no critical then Archer>Mage (depend if archer is good). If there was critical Mage>Archer (if the mage is good).
psiox Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 The New style cuz on old one, you can hit like for billion times and never have critical. Or in pvp, mostly u won't hit a critical. The New one makes it... Hm. More balanced. It doubles the damage, and so, mage still does good damage.
Intrepid Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 well they both have good and bad things...somebody prefer the old one somebody prefer the new one... i vote for the new one.
ZooLA Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 old > new. With valakas+scepter+wm+siren+water ~85-90% crit rate on lvl80.... which is nearly 100%. I dont think so that it can be worse than the more crits with less power... I mean you cant really improve that 90%, but if you lower the power, that makes definitely less DPS.
Lain Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Old style? What do you mean by Old? I'm playing Interlude, and I'm not Old. It should be: Current One or New One? And I prefer Current One - more dmg, less chance.
Stealth Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Old Style Rules! or Current One! whatever i like the style before it was modded because now every mage has magic criticals all the time... :P
ZooLA Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Old style? What do you mean by Old? I'm playing Interlude, and I'm not Old. Well... if you did not realized on retail servers Koreans are running Gracia PT2, which means the Interlude was: - many versions before (Kamael, Hellbound, Gracia 1-2) and - 1.5 years ago. So we can surely call that: OLD one and we don't care about your custom "free" server, where PPL are donating like hell for ++ and BJ's. I'm sorry. :(
