It essentially reduces the frame rate while L2 is not focused (so either minimized (if you use full screen), or while another window is active).

If you 10/20-box, you may want to turn it ON to avoid your fans revving up to the max noise mode. However, if you simply 3-6 box, you may want to keep it OFF so that you could monitor what's going on in inactive windows at real time (smooth movement, no delay in chat window, etc.).

If you only run a single client on full screen, you should instead consider quitting MMOs and moving to Single Player games. Of course, if you like the online component, you could try some Single-Player MMOs, like RS.

You got that reversed. When enabled CPU usage is greatly reduced when the game is minimized or not focused. When disabled, game acts as if you are playing on this window, thus CPU usage is high and impossible to play with many clients. Thats why this option must be enabled if you 10/20 box, unless you want to show-off with your 20 core CPU and 10 graphics cards on cross fire/SLI, but that wont happen because game is not much optimized anyway and will not benefit much from your powerful rig anyway. I did dualbox IO client with this option disabled on my 3300 radeon integrated, but CPU always on 50-70% and its pain in the ass to watch 1080p videos at youtube. When enabled, cpu usage is ~5% per client.

it will, since we talk about mutliple clients at once and not one which would in fact use just small part :P

12 cores xeon can successfully run ~90 clients on NCWest (with reduced tick count)

Well, I usually

With a special dsetup (noGG + alternative tick rate setup), I could have 6-7 IO (yeah, before they started forcing GG again) clients running on max detail without much hassle. I mean seriously, even on current GG-performance-degradation-infested Underground client you can only get 3-5% CPU usage with max detail PLUS SHADOWS in Aden square.

The issue I personally have is with crappy laptop sound hardware, as L2 reserves a certain amount of channels, even when muted, and so strange things start happening when more than 7 clients are running.

    • I would like to emphasize that I am selling the tool used to generate geodata for the client you are developing, not the geodata itself; therefore, I consider the price reasonable. As for your view that the price is high and shows a lack of respect for the customer—that is your own opinion. Thank you. I have also purchased his products, and—just as you said—he is skilled and provides very enthusiastic support. If you feel he is deserving, then you should continue buying from him.
    • Yeah... the price for the project at this stage is the kind of disrespect to the customer I was talking about.     As for deMEV, he’s overpriced too, but he’s one of the very few people in the L2 market who is available almost 24/7.
    • Thank you all for your interest in my post. I confirm that I did indeed use L2MapConv to develop my tool, adding my own customizations. If you are already a customer of deMEV, please continue to support him; I believe his products are excellent—I have purchased from him myself, and he is truly talented. Below is the Giran 22_22 geodata file generated using my tool; feel free to take a look. Thanks again to everyone for your comments. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1owpXCGEAhAO6TjjBJTYuVFqeUDu9RNoI/view?usp=drive_link
