V01d Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 to make your games run faster you have to: 1: Go to Start>Run...>regedit 2: Search for the Control Panel Section (i dont remember where is it now... :D) 3: Then from the Control Panel section at the RegEdit find Desktop Section 4: Find the MenuShowDelay Section 5: It will probably be 400 or 200...Make it 0 6: now close the window of RegEdit and Restrt your PC 7: GG now run your games Faster and more reliable

SpokeRu Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 How performance depend from MenuShowDelay ???
nirvana1979 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 (edited) Anyone elaborate on what this even does? (guessing it's not good lol) edit--i looked this up it just turns the delay off how long it waits to show sub menu's when you click on the start button, has nothing to do with game performance Edited August 31, 2021 by Vision
worda Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 performance depends on cpu ,gpu, ram not from crappy settings in regedit ,dont do it or else..
kjing Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 This setting just influence the time that takes to open a menu on windows, expressed in milliseconds. If you set it a 0, as soon as you click the menu will open immediately. It isn't related in any way with gaming performance, nor with gaming reliability. And it's not like "OMG i opened regedit, my PC will blow into pieces..."
worda Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 this wont crash your pc ,but may make your games to run slower than usually
glissmzq Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 the games run's slower than before :) and the fact is this would eventualy crash/bugg you're registry!
thechewu Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 lol at u guys that think that this will fuck up ur pc.indeed it has nothing to do with game performance but will open desktop(and other menus) faster and i suggest u do it.
