L2Server.exe Keeps Crashing

Hamish

Question

Hey,

I installed vanganath interlude L2off for learning purposes, but before L2Server.exe can load it crashes each time. I tried to google and resolve the problem myself but couldnt find an answer.

Im using this pack http://www.maxcheaters.com/topic/154007-interlude-pack-vanganath-1236-ilext/

So the problem is L2Server.exe crashes before it can load everytime! Someties it crashes before it can load Clan reputation sometimes before Area Data. Which is very odd...

There are no erros in cacheD or what so ever except pathnode.bin but the server wouldnt crash cause of that.

Im using windows 2k8 64x standart, 4 quad core 4GB ram...

Hi there, server is crashing, because of lack of memory. Did you the all the steps from the manual "how to setup L2 off server?". Especially, did you set up the paging file on your disk? Control panels > system > settings > advanced system settings > tab "advanced" > look for a "Performance" > settings > advanced > look for a virtual memory > settings > set "custom size" on your disk from 1024(min) to 4092(max) MB. Restart computer, load the server. You should be good to go. Screen should help you to find it. http://prntscr.com/5cdc45

Use diffefrent areadata\geo - and find which area is causing crash when being set on a geofield.

And stop using 4 gb of ram, it's too fucking little.

With enough bloatware or other apps - server could easily run out of memory.

Lin2error suggests otherwise however.
