Took a little time to write something about the current state of Lineage II (mostly the pvp servers) i'd appreciate it if you could take a look http://www.reddit.com/r/Lineage2/comments/1sbv64/the_state_of_lineage_ii/ .Caution it contains big words,illiterate and immature Interlude players won't comprehend,thanks.

Whats wrong is the mentality of the herd. People the last couple of years only join midare servers with over 500+ players (they demand it, anything else is no good). When in reality most of those use fake online players. (Theres even script to make fake players doing tasks ingame so it looks like they are real players.)

 

Also take a look at the hopzone top 10 & first page, some of the servers in there are owned by the same person/people. The reason they are in the first page is that they payed for votes. If you dont believe me wait until the end of the month and you will see the huge gap in votes between the top 5 servers and the rest of the list. Its also the same people ddosing all the unique servers with potential that come out every once in a while.

 

L2 is still a pretty cool game, just the community has rotten.

Agreed,even though with all this corruption,i don't think l2 is still a good game,basically it's not a game at all,it's business.

Well, i got bored of same game servers, so i started making my own kind of type l2jserver too... a server in which i would like to play :)

That's an interesting topic I'd like to discuss too, well first you have many people who hate the "new chronicles" by new I mean ever every chronicle that came out after interlude, they are even called Starwars chronicles which I didn't really get but I barely see their point.

Thing is l2 failed, what made NCsoft fail are these "new chronicles" many bad ideas were implanted , imba skills and so on...people didn't like it, thus l2 became F2P.

Since people didn't like those versions, they prefer to turn back to the past and play the old chronicles which they like alot, I personally think that Interlude is one of the best chronicles because it is pretty balanced, and no there are no dominating class in pvp as you said archers, thats just happening in fail l2j servers x10000.

There is no fail at all. They just have adapted to the new generation of gaming. There are many new players on Highfive and Goddess of Destruction, everyone is looking at graphics, Interlude sucks at it. A real gamer will never choose Interlude instead of any other superior chronicle.

I do not play a game for its graphics, but for its gameplay and League of Legends (a total success) proves it, the graphics are pretty bad for a recent game yet that game is played by millions of player.

It did fail since it went to Free to Play after they abbondoned their previous econimic model, just like Aion,SWTOR and many others.

I'm pretty sure that there are actually more players playing in Interlude private servers than those playing in retail.
