Hello please help me... I want open and edit file LineageMonster.u but I dont know what program I need for edit this file. (Interlude)

Thank You.

You cant edit it, you can only view the script with a .u viewer which is shared somewhere ...

To edit it, you have to edit the obsfucated HEX script of it, its a pain in the ass

It's .utx format, just google it and you will find the answer :)

Use UnrealED or so.

Anyway, you should post it in da Client section, you will get more answers.

ok and when is it script how edit it ?

You can't edit client script because you don't have the source. Additionally it's obsfucated which means that the code is scrambled, additionally it's crypted so editing it requires ballz of steel. The only possible way to edit smth in it is reverse engineering with a HEX editor like HxD, but I'm pretty sure you won't make it so just forget about it.

Most .u's aren't encoded\encrypted - that's just ignorance.

They are however the internal bytecode format for unreal editor script.

And if you want to edit them it's by bytecode hand hex editing.

(which is not impossible as long as it's just changing ja to jb and so on).

I seem to recall that the size of functions in bytecode is also somewhere in the headers of the files - so if you manage to hex in rather large change you'd need to account for the new size somewhere in the .U header.

Althought i'm not sure tbh - maybe a client wiz can tell you.

Hmm ok thx ...

why I want edit lineageMonster.u is because when I summon for example Strider his animations loaded from npcgrp.dat when I change it for any other pet is it function and look as another monster and when I want ride on it is it back as Strider. I want have still same animation when I summon and when I ride on it. Im sure on 95% is it in this file "LineageMonster.u" But edit it is f4king imppossible :(

Ok no way .. thx for all tip and all answers on my questions.... I will not changing it so strider will be strider ever.

Thx again :)
