Yeap, why you decrease the opacity of render? As for your effects not something special just some ready things.

Make sure there's a balance on your opacities, this contrast isn't always good!And make sure the white border that many people like at their

signature ( i like it too ) isnt too big, make it about 1 or 2 px.! Peace

Lol, when I was look first time I didn't see render, just when I was read first comments and look up again I was find it. You need to work with your skills, it's not bad for first try, just keep it up, use tutorials for beginners are really important.
