How can I play l2 on W-Lan???

Question

Posted

I maked an l2 server... i don't know if it is l2j or l2off. it's called Preconfigured IL Pack_by_lightmagik.

I looked all the day on the internet to find how to make him work on W-lan, but I didn't found anything.

I must mention that the server+db are on my laptop and i will login from it too, and I want to play with my friends on w-lan or lan.

pls help me with some instructions how to make it work.

ps: I don't know special terms, so pls be explicit!

Thank you!

Not knowing if it is java or L2OFF is not a good start to you trying to host an L2 server, but as for that pack it is L2j. If you cannot tell the different between them then I strongly suggest doing a lot more research first.

Running a server plus logging in from the same machine is not a good idea, you will get massive lags; even worse is that you want to use a laptop. You playing and letting your friends log in will result in them having tons of lag even though it is on a local network.

To be honest I do not think you should try running an L2 server, you lack the knowledge even to tell that is java or L2OFF. There are many guides you can follow on here and by doing a Google search.

My honest opinion of your idea: bad.

Open GameServer folder->Config and then open server.properties

If you want your server to be on INTERNET find this: GameserverHostname=* and replace * with your ip

If you want your server to be on LOCAL find this: GameserverHostname=* and replace * with your 127.0.0.1

I did this, but it don't work...

I want to play with my friends at work to kill our time... so pls tell me what to do step by step.

I want your Job man haha.

Start with this pack will help you learn some things , in your case you just want an l2server only for lan its very easy to make it just follow the guides.
