Change loginserver port in client

Question

Posted

Hello there,

Did someone manage to change the loginserver port into client system?

I heard it is possible to open Engine.dll with an hexadecimal editor to change it, does someone know which line to edit?

See you around

If I change the default port Client <-> Login (2106) into login properties, client cannot connect anymore.

But if I change default port Login <-> Gameserver (9014) into login properties, client can still connect (obviously).

So to change the default port 2106, I need to edit the client too and it comes back to my first post: how to do that?

When I change login port from 2106 to another in login prop, gameserver still connect but not client, so it's not into gameserver properties.

Client needs to be edited somewhere I'm 100% sure

In this time I thought wrong to gameserver port 7777, this doesn't matter if u change it && You don't have to edit it into system too.

But about login port, u're right. I saw right here it helped: http://maxcheaters.com/forum/index.php?topic=60567.msg440315#msg440315 but this link isn't available anymore.

I've found this old server package (from 2009) that could be interresting for some of you guys.

There are many server tools and other stuff.

authport.rar is located into "tools/clientside/fyyre/authport.rar" but I didnt understand the readme file, anyway here is the link:
