when u open itemdata.txt and find the line for ur item and change is_drop=1 to is_drop=0 p.s. u can do the same with is_trade and is_destruct too. in that case donators wont be able to trade/delete their items and cry after that their items were scammed or deleted by mistake, w/e ;)

even how amazing blade and soul looks, i bet its gonna fail. i dont feel any spirit in nc softs new works anymore. tera online is another story. looking at its vids, i feel the same when i i started to play l2 c1. everything looks so new and uknown, a whole new world and gaming experience, not like the cheap copys and ripofs in the whole mmo industry.

OS the guy asked for windows os, not linux. so any win server 2005/2008 64 bit will be fine. but the question remains what does HeRaCleS ment with simple ones? xp/vista/win7? xp is a no no, without a workaround u wont be able to use more than 3gb ram which means u wont be able to handle 500-600 players. vista was fail since the begining. and win7? why on earth would somebody launch an server on that os? just use windows server edition for l2 off. for l2j its better to use specific linux distros (like redhat). ok now the hardware ucko1991, before u pray ur god (i7) please read again what u have copypasted (the bolded part). for the topic starter i suggest to get some server machine with dual xeon/opteron processors (higher than 3ghz) and something like 8 gb ram at the begining. ofc if u got money can go on more, but i wouldnt suggest u to hurry that much. for hdd 2x 146GB Ultra320 SCSI (10k rpm) should do the job. connection and y, i agree to others who sugested you to get 1gbps upload connection.

when u cant find any answer, try to experiment a lil bit ;) for example find heine in areadata.txt (scripts folder) and replace "peace" with "battle" and u will get a zone like pvp arena, where u can fight, but wont get any points. but also u can delete the whole line which includes peace zones parametrs and "poof" - now u have a pvp zone. somebody correct me pls if i am wrong.

change 127.0.0.1 to ur ip address (if u dont know, check in: www.ipchicken.com), and 1) add it in (config.txt, under NewAuth\etc) under DevServerIP= ......... 2) add it (server table in lin2db (sql)) under "ip" 3) open 7777 port at ur firewall 4) launch an website (if u dont know how, then try to find some guide for installing and configuring apache) where people can register. u can find some complete websites on this forum. - TIP! dont put web page on same machine where ur sql database is located. 5) get some domain (web adress which will give an name to ur ip adess). if got money go for superduperl2server.com, but if dont wanna spend 50 cents try to look into: www.no-ip.org 6) add the same ip to l2.ini (in ur clients system folder). - use l2fileedit. when its ready upload it on ur website, so ppl can connect to ur server without any headache. 7) advertise ur server on some game forums and top sites shortly its all u need, but if u cant express urself and ask such questions, i wouldnt prefer u to make any server.

sup? leet me first introduce with myself a bit. i started to use this forum not cuz u an find hacks/exploits or other stuff like that, but cuz the l2off/l2j server files. l2 is passion since 2005 when i started to play on c1 servers like hsc and lineage2world and i still <3 this game. mostly i come here to download server files and set up an server for myself to test out things, but some day i might open a public server :) i have some experience with such stuff, since i had a public mu online server back in the days when it was popular (old good days :D), but whats gone is gone. anyways all i wanted to say is that i wanna get some new expierence here on this forum since pp (postpacific (R.I.P.)) is down and u guys got some descent community here. 8)

all links worked for me (u just need to download stuff from both rapidshare links), except the part i couldnt normaly configure an working, non russian c2 client fot the server. update: all is fine, i forgot to add 3rd patch from update folder :) update2: laoded ur server+npc and l2 client on my athlon 3000+ with 1gb ram :D
