Actually dont make a server at all, there are too many servers and very few players. You are destined to fail unless you can pay for votes and stuff. Lineage 2 Private Server Scene is dying.

Setting up an l2j server isnt so different than it was 8-9 years ago. Based on that the problem now is that there are more servers than there are players.

I keep seeing everyone complain on every server for everything no matter if its l2off or l2j. I know people are entitled to their opinions but why is it like that. Do people hate this game so much?

back in the day there were C4 servers with max +500 and more and stuff like that. Always had like 400+ players. But that was a time where 17 million people where playing l2 all over the world.

there are allready too many mid rates. yours is going to be like a drop of water in a lake. dont waste your time and money imo.

Its more practical to use H5 and downgrade it.

Most will bitch about how few permission they have, and you will get like like 5 pms everyday from them qqing they need more.

Regarding skills testing as i have told before on a similar topic, you will never get legitimate feedback by doing this. Everyone is looking into making his own class op so he dominates the server. Better test things yourself, it might take longer but its your best option.

Thing is these days nobody wants to become gm for legitimate reasons. If you tell them they will have limited access they will complain or when they join they leave after a week or two.

Or maybe when you see a new server you set your expecations so high that when you finally join you get disapointed. 90% of people that join a server never read the server info/descritpion/features so when they enter and see something they dont like its instant fail for them.
