  2. If you'll ever will work on some product, which is used by thousands people - probably you'll understand. Think please from this side - you have a couple of products, you have a tons of clients, and as each software you have some problems, bugs, and perspective development. On which steps you'll have to focus? Obviously that on the most important, isn't it?

  4. Probably, but noone care, this bug was reported only by one of the our clients, and as soon as there was more important questions in general - we didn't take care against it
  5. Both extenders are currently under our support. For lowrate - AdvExt is better, as soon as there is 100% fixed scripts with all quests. Just as example - in March with huge success started la2izi on our core, x1 rates with 4000 REAL online(not just drawen on website)

  8. If you want thousands of people and stability - get PTS, not L2J. Last proven online on our core was 5700 in September on l2e-global. If you want some custom server - get l2j source and work on them with your friend
  9. Brave, you think like player, not like server owner. You think only from your side, but don't forget that on server are thousands of players, and they for sure will make not-so-smart things. First of all game markets steal income from server owner, and ofcourse many players without blackmarketing knows where to buy some goods outside of your donation system, but more of your players don't know about it. And the major reason is - spam in game is terribly annoying. The last question, just to think about. If from your point of view , spam is not a big problem and noone will read and follow it, why spam is one of the biggest problems in internet in common? And on email, and on social networks, and in any MMO game?

  11. In first post you can find, that server with 150 online don't need this at all. When you will handle server at least 1000+ online, and all adenasellers and blackmarketers will put attention on you - then we will speak again. I just can repeat, that system was tested on l2e-global GF with 6k online, and on shock-world.com with 3k online, and this guys knows for years what a pain in the ass and money loss they had with this problem
  12. It's your point of view. But in reality vanganth customers, or guys who want to use it got a chance to use it and to have updates and support. For sure we don't forget about our benefits, because we are not an сharitable foundation, as result our team are on the market since 2005 I really don't see any sence in our discussion, because obviosly you will never agree with me, I will not agree with you.
  13. We don't have any lock in extender, we just protect it against any external injection. Our holywar is totally useless because of totally different position, in the same way we can dissuss what is better iOS or Android, who have totally different philosophy. Our goal - is full stability, good security and predicability of our product, and max clear product design. Our products could be run in live if few days after first installation and conception modifications, it could be reached only with full control. We don't make any problems for competitors who provide 3rd party services like Web, Vote reward and so on, but we not let to anyone to work with engine. On the other side - I know at least 1 way how protection could work without ANY injection in core engine at all. Regarding our cooperation with SmartGuard. For us it didn't changed nothing. And I will explain why. First of all - Smart-guard is not our first partner with protection. PTS knew different times, many time enterprise standart was hGuard, until Hint not stopped its development, and lost motivation to make a new version. 1 time we tried to work with Kasha-Malaga protection, which was an expensive , bugged, useless piece of shit, 1,5 years we worked with other protection - and it also was a dissapointment , developer wasn't motivated for hard work, it never was able even to block freeware adrenaline. And then we started to work with Akumu and Smart-guard, in compare with all previous expirience - it is excelent and the most effective solution. I know that it almost don't block payed Adrenaline, but didn't knew the reason, but I honestly told that every time for any our customer, who decided to get protection, that the best choice is Smart-guard, and it almost can't block Adrenaline, and it was acceptable for them and for us. And now doesn't exist any public protection, which could block it, even Frost from Innova Systems. As the end of discussion I want to tell, that I understand and respect your point of view, but can't accept it. There is no any product or company in the world which is perfect for all, we are perfect for those, who share our values, who don't - succesfully exist many our competitors who can offer product which will match your needs
  14. Delays for messages exist directly in server configs. I'm not sure that in all, but in ours(AdvExt) - for sure. So it can be managed individually About server load you shouldn't worry, we tested already on 6k online, and load is very low. Tool for now don't block automatically for anyone, because sometimes it can make mistakes, we work now under teaching it. For now it just collect and analyze messages, find suspicious and sends an alert for support team, that spam found, and server owner or their support team can ban immediatly. Average time - 5 minutes from our expirience

We made a very good infrastructure and solution, how to decrease load, even if we will collect information from 100 high loaded servers in the same moment :) Your point about privacy is understandable, but I don't think that chat messages could be a real problem. Which real private information could be there? And I hope you understand, that its almost unreal to read all the chat messages by any human. Otherwise - I guess not so many people realy cares to use some other SaaS products, like gmail, hotmail, facebook, trello, github, etc. this list is really long for every of us

It isn't, because list of badwords for chat - will not affect trade messages, party looking room, ingame mail - its the first point The second point - even 50k bad words cannot ban all the varieties of message, I can write more then 100 variaties only for your nickname :) Any such restriction could be replaced with special words and pseudographic The third point - will it be cheaper for you?

Creating just list of badwords you can make by yourself in any extender or java build I guess :) Our solution is more complicated then just prohibiting some words, which could be easily bypassed. And we collect information, because we need to collect all the information and decissions for the future neuronetwork learning - its the first point. The second point is - we don't want to provide security algorithms to someone, because first of all spammers can get it, and find bypasses more effectively, and second point - system have some updates every day, analytical part, and after update it would be applied instantly for all customers. It will be better for results

  20. You're right. But your understanding of situation is totally wrong. Any company, which make ANY mass product - provide to customers their vision of product, its impossible to make a software by "I-want-to-have-this-shit" request, and meet expectations of every customer. So you must only decide - can you accept it, or not. Otherwise there a tons of other teams which make different extenders and java builds, and you can easily find someone who will make directly what you want. Or you can do it by yourself
  21. Hey folks! We are glad to announce our new product - Security against spam First of all lets discuss a bit about this problem. Nowadays this problem is a pain in the ass on almost all popular servers, when tons of different adena martkets promotes their websites. And earn money on your players. Which damage make spammers to your server? Economical system on many game servers are built on those fact, that donate coins are tradeable, in that case donators may buy more coins, then they need directly, and sell to other players for adena or other goods. If many adena-markets would work on your server - they could buy adena directly there, and you will loose money. Spam is annoying, really annoying, we suppose that somewhere in hell exists a special place for them. They make all chats totally unusable Spammers can advertise competitors projects So average money loss can be up to 30%. And its obvious that problem couldn't be ignored How admins usually controls it? May be someone have some custom methods, but usually solutions are like: Manual control directly in game. It is enough effective, but with GM characters is imposible to control spam in Whisper, and it requires a tons of time Hire moderators for money or some goods. The same like previous solution, you should spend the money, but you'll save some time Ban by player reports. Its almost the same then and not doing nothing, because reaction will be very slow Set up limits for sending messages and sit on the trade. It makes some problems for spammers, but more problems it brings to legal players who just start on the server, and can't have any conversation Chat logs parsing. It will require some knowledge and technical expertise, but could help for very annoying spam. But some random messages it can't detect, WTS/WTB interfaces, Party Looking Room - it can't catch at all What could we offer? SaaS multilevel filtering system First layer. Trace application, which are built-in game server and collect data about all chats, trader, Party Looking Room, Mails, Friend Chat. In other words - from all players where could be wrote smth Collected data sends to analytic tool. Collecting data and sending process are fully transparent for server owner By our own algorithms this data will be analysed and loaded to Web-interface Server owner or his support team can ban all the spammers. If detection was wrong - mark detection as false If spam will be detected, web-interface will send an pop-up message, and sound-alert. Dataset collection for more accurate detection and decreasing false-positive alerts. Automatic bans, without human control when spam is obvious. Ban chats, or other soft-bans, when probability is high, but false-positive could exist. This settings defines server owner Adaptation for java servers Which results we already reached. It was already tested on 2 highloaded and popular servers. L2E-global GF server in October, and Shock-world Interlude now. During first day of data collection, when we just tested our algorithms - we detected 82k spam messages in 24 hours. When access to the tool was provided to their support team - amount of spam was decreased significant, most of markets dissapeared with their spam totally, who remained got bans very fast. At December, when Shock-World server started we make some improvements. First of all was redesigned Web-interface for better usability, system started to control all message interfaces, not only chats, added real-time alerts. As fact - with 3k real online server could work almost without spam even without any restrictions on chat/trade. From 21 markets which tried to work there, remained only 3 which appears from time to time and recives fast bans. Also by stop-words is possible to track Real Money traders and bans them too, to avoid money loss
  22. Smart-guard proved their stability by time, and we can guarantee the quality of this solution. And CliExt we didn't cut, so who don't want to pay for Smart-guard, still can use CliExt as built-in protection

  24. Seems like Your L2server can't work with this Petition Server. Because Petition server can't understand packets which arrives from it. But you may ignore it, Petition Server is almost useless
