If you say "I'm having a shower", that means that you're eating a piece of your tub. rofl. The first sentence says: "Dunno dude, I guess he was having a shower, so he prolly couldn't hear the bell" The one that your teacher gave says: "Dunno mate, I guess that he was in the shower so he prolly couldn't hear the bell" In this part of UOE you have to rewrite the sentence, but leaving it with the same meaning.
