[Help] Server Status Script.

Sinnocent

Question

HI, all, so I'm trying to add a server status script to my website(just a regular html site) but I really can't figure it out, I am noob with php.

Theres a file called Connection.php.(I put my info)

<?php

//Do not remove this header
//This script package is distributed by kadar of L2j.sourceforge
//You are free to distribute this package as long as the headers stay intact.
//
//This file must stay in the parent directory of the script folder
//and must be filled out correctly for the scripts to work.
//
//It is suggested to make a new user and pass for the scripts
//and set the permissions to select only.

$db_user = "root"; //your sql username goes here
$db_pass = ""; //your sql password goes here
$db_name = "l2jdb";    //your database name goes here
$db_serv = "localhost"; //the address of the database goes here
$db_port = "3306"; //the address of the database goes here
$res = mysql_connect ( $db_serv, $db_user, $db_pass, $db_port ) or die ("Coudn't connect to [$db_serv]");
mysql_select_db ( $db_name );

?>

And this file status.php

<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html" charset="Windows-1251">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css">
<title>Server Status</title>
</head>
<body>
<?php

// Make sure you change the IP address and port number below to match your server.

global $FORM;
$FORM = "<table width=100% border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"font-size:11px; font-family:verdana; color:#999999;\">";

$flogin = fsockopen ("67.19.46.122",2106, $errno, $errstr, 1);
if ( $flogin )
    $FORM .= "<center>Login Server<br><img src=up.jpg></center><br>";
else
    $FORM .= "<center>Login Server<br><img src=down.jpg></center><br>";

$fgame = fsockopen ("67.19.46.122",7777, $errno, $errstr, 1);
if ( $fgame )
    $FORM .= "<center>Game Server<br><img src=up.jpg></center>";
else
    $FORM .= "<center>Game Server<br><img src=down.jpg></center>";

echo $FORM;

?>
</body>
</html>

I put the 2nd code on my website, put all it shows it a bunch of scrambled php code, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I really don't know what I'm doing, been trying for hours

It seems, that your webpage doesn't allow php scripts or smth. like that. Try to make your pages for example: index.php not index.html and close that script. after the last echo $FORM; press enter and write echo "</table>";

You forget a </table> as others said. Instead of second code, put

<?php

// Make sure you change the IP address and port number below to match your server.

global $FORM;
$FORM = "<table width=100% border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"font-size:11px; font-family:verdana; color:#999999;\">";

$flogin = fsockopen ("67.19.46.122",2106, $errno, $errstr, 1);
if ( $flogin )
   $FORM .= "<center>Login Server<br><img src=up.jpg></center><br>";
else
   $FORM .= "<center>Login Server<br><img src=down.jpg></center><br>";

$fgame = fsockopen ("67.19.46.122",7777, $errno, $errstr, 1);
if ( $fgame )
   $FORM .= "<center>Game Server<br><img src=up.jpg></center>";
else
   $FORM .= "<center>Game Server<br><img src=down.jpg></center>";

$FORM .= "</table>";

echo $FORM;

?>

I don't think this is the only error you get anyway, it's already made me the same error in the past. It was related with " symbols, dunno why.

I just tried my code on my own server, the script is fine now. I launched my LS, you got my own script top of yourself (I changed your pics for text for my own test, it's not modified in your).

testscript.jpg

If you get same error with a part of the script which isn't taken in consideration, it doesn't come from your script but from your webserver environnement.

I made the test to change my index.php to index.html, and any PHP script isn't taken in consideration. So forget the track .html/.php, it shouldn't bug like that if it was an html file, it will just "forget" the totality of the script.

I think there is a problem in the end of this line (for your webserver) :

$FORM = "<table width=100% border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"font-size:11px; font-family:verdana; color:#999999;\">";

And I think it's related to the chain \">";, because your server think it's not php anymore from ";. My own error was the same than you, and each time I tried to deleted the \", it will bug in the next one. I don't remember how I have corrected the error w_w.

ok so, now I'm getting this

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'root'@'192.168.1.1' (using password: YES) in /www/zxq.net/l/2/i/l2intensified/htdocs/servers_status/index.php on line 18
Coudn't connect to [My Ip]

So what am I doing wrong now? Do I need to set a specific setting in mysql or anything, it cant connect
