Andrey™ Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 1. Open for the first photo you want in Photoshop: File - Open - Select picture - OK. You should choose a background that has a somewhat uniform color. I used the following, you can save and you (Right-click on it - Save ..) then you open it in Photoshop and use it as an example. 2. Open Channels window (Window - Channels). A color photograph is disposed on three channels (Channel) - Red / Green / Blue - RGB. We seek to choose the channel with highest contrast between background and outline tree. So after you open the Channels panel, press CTRL + 1,2,3 to see how each channel image. Note that in contrast the Blue channel is the biggest - so CTRL + 3 to select it. Must change the image so that the end to have black and white, white background is to be removed, and the rest of what we need - black. 3. Click right on it - Duplicate Channel .. - OK to make a copy. Then make a copy and Red channel - right click on the red channel - Duplicate Channel .. - OK. 4. Select channel "Red Copy (CTRL + 5 - if selected go, first select another channel: Ctrl + 3 for example, then press CTRL + 5), then top Image - Adjustments - Levels ... (Or Ctrl + L) and add value> 50 - 0.85 - 220: 5. Taking down CTRL, click the channel icon Red Copy. Now the idea is to isolate the channel too light colors Blue Copy. 6. Select channel "Blue Copy" by pressing CTRL + Levels 4 and open panel: Image> Adjustments> Levels ... (Ctrl + L) then add the values> 120 - 1.2 - 255 7. Put CTRL + D to deselect then open the panel Levels: Image> Adjustments> Levels ... (Ctrl + L). Values change so that everything is black and white: And the picture should look like at this moment: 8. Follow to add mask to separate tree background. Channel selected with "Blue Copy" again, holding down CTRL click on the channel icon "Blue Copy". Top - Select - Inverse to invert the selection. 9. Select RGB channel and return it in the Layers panel. With the photo layer selected and click on the active selection "Add Layer Mask" from below: Now the background should have already disappeared. As you can see the selection was made very precise, you could not succeed with Polygonal Lasso Tool or Pen Tool as something like: 10.We add a new layer under it with another call or other image, depending on the case.
