First of all, u 'll need some utilitys:

*UTPT TOOL(to extract textures)

http://www.acordero.org/projects/utpt/index.htm

*Adobe Photoshop (to edit img)

*a Photoshop DDS plugin

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nv_texture_tools.html

*UE2Runtime-22261903 (Unreal Editor Runtime (be care with VERSION)

http://download.beyondunreal.com/fileworks.php/official/licensee/ue2runtime-22261903.exe

*L2decrypt

Install all of them.

Note: im using US Client, the loading textures files may change in depend of LANGUAGE.

1)Use UTPT to:

1.1) Open a UTX called L2font-e.utx (SysTextures folder)

1.2) look for the loagind screen and de start screen TEXTURES

1.3) extract them as DDS.

1.4) say good bye to UTPT and CLOSE IT.

2) Open Photoshop.

2.1) Open 1 of ur textures.

2.2) Modify as ur will.

2.3) save as DDS.

2.4) the DDS plugin will appear.

2.5) Change to option "NO MIPMAPS" (or samething like this) and SAVE the file.

NOTE: it good to know:

DX1: no transparencies.

DX3: tranparencies.

When u import a DX3 with ALPHA channel, u have to select the "MASKED" check-box.

2.6) say good bye to Photoshop and CLOSE IT.

Repeat step 2 and edit ur 2nd texture.

3) Open Unreal Edition Runtime

3.1) U will see a window app around there. Look for Texture TAB.

3.2) Create NEW texture with:

3.2.1) Package name: THE NAME OF UR PACKAGE (myPackage)

3.2.2) Group name: THE NAME OF TEXTURES GROUP (myL2group)

3.2.3) Texture name: The name of a texture (myLoagindTex)

3.3) A new window appear, make anything u need to CLOSE IT (click on accept or something :P)

3.4) Now, IMPORT a Texture

3.4.1) choose ur DDS file

3.4.2) Texture name: rename the DDS file something like (myLoadingTexA)

Repeat steps 3.4, 3.41 and 3.4.2 and IMPORT ur 2nd texture with another name, but in the SAME PACKAGE).

3.5) Save the Package.

4) Decrypt the 'Lineage II/System/Fontinfo.ini'

4.1) change lines:

4.1.1) English_LogoTexture=myPackage.myGroup.myLoadingTexA

4.1.2) English_LoadingTexture=L2Starts.L2Starts.myLoadingTexB

4.2) save the file and encrypt it

NOTE: the lines u have to modify its in depends of UR LANGUAGE.

NOTE2: the way Unreal works with package is: PACKAGE.GROUP.TEXTURE

5) Make a backup of original Fontinfo.ini

6) Remplace it for the NEW ONW U CREATED.

7) Add ur new package (UTX) into SysTextures folder.

8) TEST IT!

U can test my own modding downloading it from there:

www.dbit.com.ar/GZ_SWE3_Patch.exe

Music and Sound editing.. coming soon.

(Music, is matter of converting WAVs to OGG)

(Sound, is matter of the SAME as explained in this thread but in the sounds folder and modifying another txt)

    • THEY DON’T COME BACK FOR NO REASON. HERE’S WHY Our clients come from different countries and with very different tasks. But the strongest indicator of quality is simple — when a client comes back **for a second time**. This case is exactly that. The client returned with a request for a **German ID**. The requirement was clear: a document **in a male hand**, with a natural live scene and correct geographic context. What we did: ▪ accepted source files and data without unnecessary bureaucracy ▪ selected a **real street**, not a generic background ▪ built a print-ready mockup with correct scene logic ▪ sent it for approval ▪ after confirmation, delivered the **final file for printing** No templates. No “good enough”. Only solutions tailored to a specific task. Result: ▪ mockup approved on the first try ▪ client fully satisfied ▪ stays in touch We work **worldwide** — and that’s exactly why clients return.
