1 - People running L2OFF will preferably run it on Windows as you will run into trouble with Linux. I didn't tried running L2OFF on Linux since 2007 to be honest, and even if it was "working" it was not viable, and there was yet no extender attached to it. With the current extender, pretty sure you will have more than the ODBC and basic emulation problems. Anyway running L2OFF on Linux makes no real sense. 2 - Windows and Linux both have their uses, pro/con. You will preferably (for instance) use a Windows server if you have all your client in your company under windows and you want to work with active directory and setup permissions and credential (it can be done with linux as well, but the setup is a hell and you will have more than little fun). Anybody that is an IT professional can not say that "this OS is better than this OS", it depends on the needs of the client and the environment you are working in. For L2J both are possible, it really depends on the need of the client to be honest. I will not blame someone wanting to use Windows even if I do use mainly Linux. Back on the topic, the offer might interest some people and flaming the author about the price or content is not going to go anywhere. He got his price for his product, he decides and fixes up. It's then up to you to buy it, negotiate or not, but flaming when you are not even interested is not constructive.

Now almost everybody is playing mages, I have fun with a group of dagger (fully resist stacked as you said), that's death sentence >:D It's going to mix up into more classes (archer and dagger) soon too I think, mages are always good early we ll know it. Does anyone know if BD/SWS are viable with the toogle skill boost they've put on 'em ?

As said above, I guess if he got hacked maybe he just let straight opened the port 2012. Tool or not, if you let that port opened to everybody, it make sense you end up hacked (and fully deserve it). That's why there is something called the windows firewall, to either fully block the port externally or change the scope of IP allowed to connect. On my end I checked the tool on a sandbox and there was no strange activity so far that would reveal any kind of backdoor or so. Note : I am not using it on a daily, I just checked it roughly but seems a quite nice tool for the admin and someone might have had some fun with the reverse engineering of the non shared cacheD packet format ;p, good job to the author for this tool.

Might give a try there as always on l2s/l2r, just for the lol, even if it doesn't last long (like all the server around now, check l2mid ...), as long as I have fun idc. Well I won't play L2-Renewal as well or Lineage 2 in general. There is games out that are much better than this 10 years outdated game, but it's offtopic right ? I am confirming, with super haste on Renewal the admin was able to one shot boss, it has been shown during Sawk's live stream, he used that to one shot epic bosses 1h before the opening as agreed with the community so people don't rush epic bosses. If he really had super haste, the boss would be down or really low life within a shot. By default it's like that on all the L2OFF server. Note as well that if it were giving only 10 attack as you said, then what would be the point of this picture ... Plus this picture got no shout, no hero shot, and they were much more people on Renewal for frint, so to be honest I highly doubt this picture is legit, that's my 2 cents. Seems like people got some spare time to play with photoshop or a L2J server to take a screen, please let's do something much constructive such as helping people on this forum or sharing useful stuff ...

I will give my opinion since it looks like a scam. DDOS protection for 25€ ? I mean, how do you expect to block a small ddos of like 500k pps with 25€, you will have to explain it briefly. In production mode, to be able to manage with a firewall solution "Home made", so a Linux box with dedicated rules and kernel acting as a proxy shield, with a dual xeon 5600 series, it couldn't stand a shit, and a cisco guard can barely stand 400k pps on a port and then it will create multiple short loss. To complete to post gaven on the top about the ddos and the analogy to block the packet if the ip is blacklisted, you can send a packet with a fake ip source and generate it like you want, yeah you get the fun ? blocking an ip is useless you got it, but I guess the guy who posted knows it since he seems to have knowledge in that field. To make it brief, your solution is a bullshit, I am pretty sure you call "ddos protection" installing apf and setting up iptables. Your replies and post just show your lack of knowledge and your immaturity. I strongly recommend you to do not trust that seller. Now, if someone really wants to pay for some ddos protection, you should take a look at some company , just google it, for a decent protection against small/medium dos/ddos, you have to use aprox 500$ per month which should make you free against most of the wannabes that get shellbots and people that own few vps/dedi.

I am reading at the comment and I can't stop laughing at it. You guys always come up with corruption when I never saw him give a single shit to the guy he got contact with and even banned some of em when they were catched boting (funny, refering to mumm1). Now, from what I know, it will be Hellbound but with not so much change, so Survival style so nothing to worry about. The other good thing is that the server will have a battleping system integrated to the server (yeah not a joke) and it's the first server that is providing it free, go find another server that is offering that service please ? I enjoyed all the previous servers and I will join that one for sure, it has never problem with the ddos, it has a real uptime of 99%, mass pvp, fun, it's more than what I am expecting from a private server nowadays. For thoses who doesn't know, Sawk is he should be in Japan at the moment (I don't know if he is yet) and has more than enough money has IT programmer to not do L2-Server, he earns more than with a server in one month from what I know from the Japan salary in IT. Ps : Yes, Hellbound is more stable because Interlude had some issue in some big siege as you know with the freezing client for who expected that issue (fps getting low then high then low even if you got the latest 500 series graphic card), so we can say it got less issues.

I am using this extender since a very long time and I always trusted Frede, no way, if you want something of quality you will not be deceived. Frequent updates and fixes, easy support in case of trouble, you can trust him, I am entierly vouching him.

The armory system used upper and I said "armory" not "nwatch" or whatever is something else from Nwatch at all, we clearly see it's not the same design and not the same purposes, the screenshot provided from L2-Survival is an armory system that has been made from scratch and not a simple copy like the author of this post basicaly try to sell. Do you even know the difference between dos and ddos ? Do you even know what is ddos deflate doing ? it's just basicaly counting the number of connections by ip, ordering them and banning all of them for a certain period of time, so it's a "solution" against ddos. I said "solution" because any decent ddos will use some more advanced technics like ipspoofing and that kind of shit where your ddos delfate and all the software tools that you will find wont do a shit. So that guy is selling a ddos protection, but he wrote "dos" in the title, seems like he doesn't even also know the difference between them as well. Ps : iptables crashes after 15k ip banned or so, just a small reminder so anyway you will be -beep-ed if the botnet got a deccent size (and trust me 15k ip banned is easily reached, speaking by experience). By crashing I mean you can't even get back on a ssh. I am sorry, you said DOS is useless ? Well, you doesn't know anything then, you get a bit more than 1 gbps UDP Flood and you are -beep-ed, you can install all the software of the world or whatever you want, your NIC is a 1gbps, you are -beep-ed, again talking with my experience. All of that to say that this protection sold is just already shared for free and is a remade of ddos deflate and that anyway anybody with some decent skills will put you down easily.

What is actualy cool with java it's that it's very easy to reverse, there is some software reversing their "pseudo java bit code" to java code in few second and when comparing the original code and the decompiled code it looks similar, just the variable name are changed so yeah in java if I have the compiled code I consider I also have the source, I've worked with Java in the past, now I am using l2Off for years. It was just to say that since some guys are posting with no clue about what java is and that it can be easily decompiled by any kid. Now back to topic, I've saw the source of l2dc and it's so far the best java code avalaible, anyway since you aren't a member of their team you will have to fix the new bugs & exploit reported by the players and I'd better be honest, I don't think you are actualy abble to do that but it's not the main topic. Anyway good luck with your project, but you should consider to start with a public project and dev few things yourself like few mod & security mod and then go for serious things.

You are not specifying how many core you give or the Mhz that you provide with each vps, like the warranted one, burst etc.
