(Fresh start soon!) what doest it means?? in a period of time, hours, days, weeks, months??

I want to believe that they at least have some logs of the transactions so that they can be recovered. It would be such a dissapointment for donors to see their money into the garbage can!

I doubt there were any hackers that could penetrate the machine that easily. Especially using an overflow that happens to be some secret one.

 

1)There are many servers out there far better than l2mxc with more population.

2)No hacker would need to hack an average server.

3)A server like mxc would ALWAYS have backups, there are no excuses that they lost the files.

4)If there was such a cool overflow for windows machines, there would be plenty of world-class companies reported hacked by now.

 

All those are cheap excuses.

 

I believe the donations income run low, and the staff brought up an excuse to wipe so as to get new donations when they reopen. Lets see how long will that post ( and my account ) last :)

 

I personally verified each of what has been said here (and all is true), and i can tell you i have 'no relations' with l2mxc, except i am an IT Consultant and i have a security product used by most l2 servers, yes they used some special exploit to damage seriously the servers, the only issue was not having a 'external backup' solution.

 

But oh well, lets wait for the guys...

i dont think that server should open again... Maxtor and manton will have an huge dispoint because all major clans left, and that means that their enemies as soon realize that they are at other server will join them to.

For example vG already assumed that wont join again - http://vg.to-pt.com

AIE , revolution wont join either. Then VE wont join for sure because they love competition with major clans

Vg will not join 99% :(... wish gl to new server! but the idea oof giving some special bonus (noblesse, lvl, etc) to major clans that played from the beguining is a good idea.

You don't have to support any clan.

Also there is no reason for VE not to join again, A wipe gives us the opportunity of competing with clans that are not 3 month of pve ahead, and that are probably better than the ones there were before. in the other hand we're not gonna to wait arround for weeks.

I hope some more clan join/come back so we can have a nice thing going on, also hope for the gm to get the server up as soon as possible, or keep us up to date atleast.
