nahhh its not!on sniper practise i was laid down in forests  for 6-8 hours with an officer on my head,not able to talk with any other private to tell any joke(cuz we would betray our position if it was real) looking on a scope waiting for the target to shoot which it was getting out randomly! having to do a lot of walking taking all the precautions and sleeping with the rifle i dont think it is that good!

 

it is not as funny as in the movies!but driving a tank as bombardier trooper it was hell of fun :D super mega enjoy

england special forces got harder training.

a special force group is parted by 6-7 men.

their general will bring them in a snowed mountain. the objective is to survive for 15 days.  

Soldiers got no food, they have to get it by themselves. (example by killing animals in forests, they have to find a forest tho) they have to make fire in nature, they got no map, no connection with the general for 15 days even tho he survive them for any emergency case, they got no weapons (they have to make with woods by cutting trees). They got no light. taking food by near villages is not allowed. if 1 member of team retire all team fail.

i saw a documentar where a guy broke his leg and he continued the mission for last 5 days with a broken leg.

 

this make your ass to bleed but is so damn attractive adventure. :D

YES! our special forces consist THIS kind of training too at Rentina(place over the greek macedonia) and  our so called "Skoinakia"!i was referring to our training camp practise in my post above!!!but i wanna ask a question! how am i supposed to be a sniper without a rifle or my smg?make a bow from the woods? a minor correction. a special force group ALWAYS must have 6-8 not 5 or 7 or 3!!! its a law! every one must have a "pair to watch his back" ALWAYS

 

specially our underwater destructions corps(O.Y.K.) do this for 30 days :) thats a special mega duper force #1 in the world for special missions...even better than american marines i m proud to say!

 

anyway DONT judge from movies or from other guys...see it yourselves...its funny and cool to say im a SpecialForce man but it is not so funny when u get inside !

well for example you were a hostage and at midnight you escaped. you hide in a forest where are found wild animals. you got no gun. a spear by wood it's the only chance to kill an animal i guess.

 

if you see almost all countries  (exept those ultra muslim nations) are getting focused on training the soldiers more in search and rescue missions, surviving missions etc then in shooting.

a investigation made in vietnam war, was seen that only 15% of americans could shoot with coldblood. All the others hesitate coz they were shocked by blood, by watching enemies/friends

with one/none  legs/arms.

 

ofc sniper ones doesn't really need that kind of training at all since they can cut a head off from miles away even while a strong wind. really, being a sniper is so hard.

ahh and 1 thing. No idea how a sniper group work but here in albania snipers of the special forces of police (not army) work like this. For example there are 6 ppl on group. When the general say they have to target all the enemy. now when is time to shoot the general willl count to 3 and on 3 all snipers have to shoot at same time. think about the head of a criminal how could it be by 6 sniper bullets :P

erol. what you say are advanced training where NO (citizen) privates take!professional soldiers(EPOP) receive this kind of training not we!Professional soldiers spent their whole life at the army whilst we spent 9 months-1 year.

apparently from what i ve seen in all your replies here you havent go to army and you focus mostly on rumors or researches or investigations! i tell you that aiming and shooting are 2 of the most important things.how the hell is someone supposed to do a rescue mission or an escort when he doesnt know how to aim or shoot? something important.you must know that ALL special forces troops are NOT supposed to kill or use any kind of grenades(1 arm or 1 leg i saw you mentioned) other wise they would be considered as bombardiers!a SF group use their (lightweight) guns[M16A1 or M16A2] ONLY TO SLOW down their predators if uncovered!this way we achieve a crucial blow on their morale!we shoot to harm and slow down only!and YES a sniper MUST receive the same training too as all the privates of a commando as he is one!

 

one last thing about escape and survival! such exercises occur twice a year they are extremely dangerous(done only by proffesional commandos ONLY with years of expertise) and you must sign a statement that the general in command and the army has NOTHING to do with you if you die or anything else and your family will learn that you were shot by the enemy.if you succeed you get a medal in your uniform and you are respected like you escaped an enemy territory!

 

one piece of advise...dont get that thrilled.i ve told you it is amazing to say i wanna be a sniper i wanna be a commando or i wanna receive commando training but it is difficult and every country varies its training! does iraq has snowy mountains?no then why should they  train or spend much training  for alpinist commandos?to use ski on sandcliffs?every country has its own territory and properties and extremelly different needs so they cant have all the same training!
