Disabling players' names increases game performance amazingly well, if you have a weak machine. Perfect in sieges or any kind of mass pvp ;)

gpu animation takes load from your cpu because your gfx card overtakes some calculations

If you have a good gfx card but but cpu this option is for you or maybe if you have a  good gfx card and a decent cpu you can still use it and compare fps :)

about Alt+P Dariuse is right, you have a total crap range to see npcs, that option is there to be used only in towns, you dont need range of vision there
