Dude, in the karma description you didn't write "undig" but you wrote spamming.And the topic in which you gave him the -1 wasn't not a spam.

That's why `flAmingw0rm gave him his karma back.

So now, he's with -3.And not -4.And as Versus has said, in order to get banned you must have more than -4 karma.Meaning that equal to -5 and more.

PS. Ups, I haven't seen the -4 karma update rule.So, yea, if you have -4 karma you get banned.Sorry!
