What do you people don't like about Custom items?

 

Do you think they are more ugly? (which often isn't the case, as it's only some changes to original armors, which look fine I guess)

 

Do you think they will cause imbalance? (which is nothing more than a prejudice, as if admins intentionally make them outbalanced for some unknown reason, it's sort of an insult to them to assume that) and which also doesn't have to be the case; as you can also just use 'visual' customs like accessories and such. And besides: there are many servers outbalanced without custom items; so it's not like outbalance <--> custom items, if yknow what I mean...

 

Anyway; I like the suggestion of ExtremeDwarf. A big higher rate wouldn't be so bad either :)

LauQ, the thing is that most people are looking for an instant PVP server, which means, no x30-x100, where lvl 80 may take an hour or more. People are not looking for long farm (not even an hour of continuous farming) whatever it is for.

 

Personally, I do not like how custom armors look. About unbalance... Well, I agree that custom armors can be balanced. All you need is not to make big changes in stats.

 

Unexpectedly, I have seen only 1 L2OFF x5000 (Fury of roxy network, that joined DEX network later.). It was Interlude and updated to Hellbound later. It was a really good server of its kind with 2k daily +/-. ;)

 

Some of its features...

 

No custom armors/weapons ...

3rd class quest was done normally (Quest items, that required Ketra or Varka, HS and Shrine farm where at the shop)

Retail buff duration.

No NPC buffers. There were scrolls, that were giving you some pp/ee/se buffs by double-clicking on them. No 3rd class buffs, d/s, cat/pony buff and some more 2nd class buffs like Clarity.

Weapon SAs required SC leveling.

Yes, one of the best PVP servers ever !

<3 Retail buff duarion, <3 3rd class Q. But none will create a server like this again.Now, all are used to Cr4zYy Star-Wars servers.

And well, I have seen another OFF pvp server. L2war of races x500, it's features was like a common pvp server, but it was fail anyway(It closed btw)
