In the slim version you can't have linux and it is more expensive.

The blu-ray on the ps3 slim is better than the old ps3 and the size is another obvious sign of the difference

The firmware on the ps3 slim is a lot better and cannot be used on the old ps3

Price - Is now cheaper than the older models

Power Consumption - Now uses up to 40% less power than older models.

My Vote goes to PS3 Slim.

Please guys if you can explain why do you choose one option, do it. :)

The fact that you can't install Linux and use memory cards in PS3 slim, doesn't make it worse.

Imo, you should definitely buy the slim. Check this out too.

With slim will i be able to play online with someone else?

ps3 slim 120 gb 250 euros.===> will it get heated too easily and will restart on it's own like the lil ps2? besides linux anything else?

ps3 (fat?! Oo) 80 gb 250 euros. ====> i like the design more ;P

With slim will i be able to play online with someone else?

Yeah , why not.

Since it has that ethernet cable port.

And I bet that they wouldn't pass an offline version of PS3, cause PSN would lose a big part of his online-community.
