server info ... a little help

I wanna use this servers , someone with more experience can tell me how many clients it can hold?

 

1st Server (already runing a l2dot server , but low on ppl for the moment )

Dual Xeon 3600Mhz ( HT cpu`s 64bits , windows 2003 see`s 4 cores )

8Gb RAM ECC 1033Mhz (2 x 4 dual-channel)

2x SATA RAID1 HDD (hdds are not 15k /rpm , they are normal 7k/rpm , used in raid 1 for more security )

100MB port connection   -  (10 mbps Down , 5 Mbps UP)

Windows 2003 x64 server R2

 

Second Server

 

Pentium  4  3600Mhz (HT ,64bits, 2 cores )

4Gb RAM NON-ECC 667Mhz (2x2GB dualch)

1 SATA HDD (raptor 15k rpm)

100MB Connection ( 5up/5down)

Windows 2003 x86 server R2

 

Someone experienced can tell me how many players these 2 machines can handle? ( i can increase upload speed if needed)

i think 200 -300 player for 2 server, more are some lag.

if u wanna sugest smth that will make servers run better  feel free to do it , it will be apreciated  (except changin` hardware XD )

If u want start l2j server, i think can(with good cfg) ~5k online +, If u want l2 off i think 2-3,5k but i prefer change (hdds are not 15k /rpm , they are normal 7k/rpm , used in raid 1 for more security) for 15k/rpm because u can feel ss lag - My Opinion!!

yes, change server 1 to 15k rpm HDD for work fine. I think you can hold 300 + player with normal config for this server

Yes im sure can handle 10k online in l2j(if have good files) look Inc...

and the second server? the machine with lower stats? can it handle 500 players? how much bandwith (upload ) will i need for 500 ppls online?

100 mb for l2j it's very nice  but i think with 100 mb u can handle 500 ppl in l2off
