You have to portforward your router. Portforward port 3306 and it should be fine.

delete the instances you created in mysql , create a new one add your mysql version where it asks it , also add a psw .. if you take error and says that mysql cannot run etc , re-do it .. that happens to me but i re-create a new instance and it work the 2nd time fine.

The problem has nothing to do with the 3306 port. Now listen what you have to do, first of all SHUT DOWN your MySQL server. Secondly, go to your MySQL main folder and find the "data" folder. Inside you will find some files..Now delete the following: ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, ibdata1. Then reconfigure your MySQL and everything will be ok
